Teachers volunteer lessons, the editor formats and polishes the lessons and an archiver once a week stores the lessons on an FTP site, feeds them out over the mailing list, and posts them to alt.guitar and rec.music.makers.guitar. MAILING LIST The e-mail address for mailing list administration is guitar-lessons-request@vast.unsw.edu.au -- to subscribe to the mailing list, send e-mail to the -request address with the body of the message containing lines reading subscribe your_email_address (more than one subscription is supported). To unsubscribe, send e-mail to the same address with the word "unsubscribe" on a line by itself in the body (feel free to include reasons in the body as well). This will be forwarded to the list administrator, who will remove you manually. FTP ARCHIVE All lessons are archived and available via anonymous ftp. They are available from the primary site: file://ftp.vast.unsw.edu.au/pub/guitar-lessons (This is a Universal Resource Locator (URL). In the old syntax this would be: ftp.vast.unsw.edu.au[149.171.224.9]:/pub/guitar-lessons You should become familiar with URLs) which is also mirrored on: file://bugs.specialix.co.uk/public/netsrc/guitar SUBMISSIONS Submissions should be sent to the editor. Guidelines for submissions are also available from the editor.
