Chromatic Exercises Pt.1

I personally feel that a guitar player can benefit greatly from the use of chromatic exercises. So in this section I will from time to time place lessons that demonstrate some chromatic exercises.

The following exercises are great for developing the hammer on and pull off techniques. They are pretty simple exercises to understand. Each exercise is separated by the vertical line. The first example uses four notes in ascending chromatic seconds. And the opposite on the way down, The second example is three notes in a half then whole step pattern. And the last example is a three note pattern in a whole then half step pattern. try to play these as clean and accurate as possible, make sure to use a metronome as soon as possible with these exercises. But don't be to obsessed with playing these real fast, just concentrate on steady tempo, and clean, clear notes. That's all for today more to come later!!
