He sings, of course, but he also plays guitar. In fact, Gavin Rossdale writes all the material for Bush on either a Relic Strat or his beloved Jazzmasters and Jaguars.
   &#147My playing is catching up with my instinct,” he told Frontline. &#147That was there from as soon as I began. Even in the bands I was in before Bush that were no good, I always felt like I knew what I wanted in a situation musically.”
   Gavin’s instinct came together with the talents of lead guitarist Nigel Pulsford, bassist Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge during the recording of the immensely successful sixteen stone and its follow-up, Razorblade Suitcase. Gavin particularly stretched the boundaries on the latter, experimenting with a broader emotional palette and unorthodox chord and song structures. Where will he take us next? He’s as mystified as anyone.
   &#147It’s a really interesting journey for me because my whole existence is based upon the meeting of my musical instinct with my musical knowledge. The more I play and the more I listen, the more I hear.”

    Be sure to request Bush’s new single Inflateable to your local radio stations. Sometimes the forget about other bands when they get to far up creed, linkinpark, godsmack, etc’s asses. The guys need are help to make a true comeback. They deserve our support.

      Some People just listen to music for enjoyment, some just listen cause others do…I on the other hand am Empathetic, and listen not only to the Song, but it’s lyrical content as well. When a song is put togeather like Inflateable, with the words exactly matching the feeling and mood of his Acustic Guitar playing, it gives the listener, me, the feeling of Love itself. I was not in love when i first heard the song…but after being in a serious relationship for as long as i have, that song hits me harder than ever. you know, the kind of song that makes you want to play it at your wedding. (and thats no joke) I personally would like to give enormous Props to the song writter Gavin Rossdale, and let him know of the Empathy he is creating with a simple chord progression, mixed with the exact right lyrics. We all love ya Gavin.

    I had an incredible dream the other day. I have never brought a Bush album but was familiar with the songs. In this dream I heard the song "Machine Head" in a wild scenario where it was echoing across a mountain valley. I felt so energized that the next day I went out and brought the CD Sixteen Stone. I can’t believe the great songs on this disc! I did some online research on the group and it appears the rock critics have been somewhat harsh over the years. But my guess is that when Bush first came out they were compared to the Pearl Jam’s, Soundgarden’s etc. However that sort of alternative music is a bit passe and the Bush sound remains fresh and potent – I hear far more Bush songs on the radio than I do Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and other contemporaries from the early 1990s grunge period. And I am no kid – I am 39 and have a 12 year old son who is into Linkin Park, etc and he also is into the Bush sound too…maybe Bush was ahead of their time back in 1994. Anyway, I love the music…keep up the great work guys and lets have a new CD soon!!

    There are those bands that come along, and are good when the first start, then fizzle out as time passes. BUSH does not by any means fall into this category; they have the creative energy of Gavin Rossdale, along with the talent that Nigel, Robin and Dave posses. Together they form a band that even after they decided to produce no more records, there will still be devoted fans. I personally would have to say that BUSH is the only band that I’ve ever heard where they know their a good band that produces exceptional music, that hasn’t soled out, nor have they lowered the quality of their work. I’m not going to say that I’m BUSH’s biggest fan because I know there’s going to be someone out there that has every poster, every word, a site, and much more, that would qualify as being the "number one fan." But at the same time, most fans, either find Gavin Rossdale or one of the other band members so attractive, that it hinders the appreciation for the group and their music. Yes Gavin is very much so attractive; but he’s not the reason I started listening to BUSH. I started listening to BUSH because the music they produce appeals to my personal taste, while making you think about what Gavin is saying in his lyrics. I would love to meet them in person, yet I don’t feel it will happen. After all there is always going to be some girl out there that strongly believes that Gavin is her soul mate, and will find some way to meet him. While I on the other hand, would very much like to meet the band as a whole, but am fine in knowing that my simply appreciating their music is perfectly fine. And that if I am to meet them, then in time it will come and that no matter how much a push for it to happen it will merely push it further away. I would like to end this on a simple note that BUSH is more than Gavins looks, (along with the other memebers). BUSH is a band that has the creative essence and talent that make them as a whole to be a wonderful band.

        Don’t fret everyone. Bush is currently in LA mixing their latest album (I keep forgetting to ask what the title will be). They plan on releasing later this year and probably touring not long afterwards. they release every year or two so this one is just about on time. I know I’m excited.

    Ok I know no one is going to belive me but a few years ago i was going to commit suicide! And I was listening to my radio just poking my hands and arms with a knife and while i was begining to cut my wrist the song "glycerine" came on the radio and i just felt alot better. I’m not going to say I LOVE gavin! But I do owe my life to that band! And I think that they are the greatest thing that has ever happened! If it wasn’t for there music i would not be alive right now

    hello bush fans, i’m frank, i live in Puerto Rico. I believe that Bush is a great band because they have that certain "magic" that a small amount of bands contain in this world. I love the violin, chelos(however you spell it), and the techno like sounds that they produce, not to mention the fact that they are all very in sync with their instruments. For these reasons i believe what i believe. thank you for your time 🙂
