I play a Yairi acoustic on all our tracks. I record through a Sennheiser 835 and a martin bridge pick up, each panned for stereo. I'm still learning and I haven't talked to many pros about whether I'm getting the best sound. I've recorded our whole album using Cubase in my humble home studio. On two of the free tracks you can download at www.mp3.com/addyandcam you'll hear fingerpicking slow jazz style. Other songs I strum I have used Steinberg's chorus quite often to get a silky sound. I've fiddled endlessly at times trying to get the acoustic to sound 'electric' and sometimes it works. Our album will be for sale by November at the aforementioned site. |
