guitars for girls - short scale electrics

ive got two girl guitar students who are just about ready to move from a short scale yamaha acoustic - 590mm string length & narrow curved fingerboard - to a short scale electric maybe or to a short guitar
recently i got a couple of Encore E1BTR electrics which sort of fit the bill, but they are abit basic - to adjust the truss rod you have to unbolt the neck
Any thoughts????
