i like your sound man,,what kinda guitar do you play

if you believe that you can get a good sound by guitar only your kidding,, almost.
but the best sound you will get is if you use two amps.. not for loudmess but for thickness. one clean to hear the notes that you play and the other to give you a wall to write on. the type of speaker cbs that you use maximize on the best elements of the heads that you use

her is a trick if you have read this far
on amps that use 6l6 tubes and there are four of them
pull out the inside two or the outside two tubes and run it with only two tubes.. set the amp at 100 watts rather than 60 (it wont play at 60) you can then get the balls with out it being too loud.
