hey everyone!! i am a big supporter of the singer/songwriter type musicians, becasue i think the best original music always comes in that direction. anyway, i recently got wind of this new artist -Leona Naess- by way of a friend at my Universal internship, and her new cd is amazing. she has a real soulfull, passionate voice that i loved even more when i saw her at a local gig in LA. definitely check out her new album at leonanaess.com if you want to hear from her! ~lates~
Im just here to tell you about my band, mindthread. We've been together since 2000 and just released a new cd, check out the media section for a link to free songs from mp3.com. I would be cool to hear what everyone thinks. thanks.
I've never seen Chris live, I discovered his music on mp3.com. I gave it a listen and thought "Oh my God...Watwazzatt?!" I'm Canadian so I've never had the chance to see him live as he's never been in my neck of the woods.
Chris is the blues sound of the 2000's. Stevie, Cray, Clapton have done there thing and it was good, but Chris is fresh and brings the old style of the "forgotten" King with him.
I can't get enough of his tunes and I hear that he has another 80 odd to record in the near future.

I have seen Chris Cain a few times, and I'm telling you, this guy blows me AWAY! You have to see him to believe him. Check out his albums. I understand that he was nominated for 5 Handy awards for his first album in 1987. Kenny Wayne, Jonnie Lang and the rest of the new blood of today, cant hold a candle to Chris. No slam intended, only the truth
Never heard Cain until last night, playing with the Robben Ford Bros in SEattle. Wow. What expressive and clean playing. Ford played after Cain and couldn't top him.
I wanted to offer you an invitation to come to Idaho to visit and, possibly, do some recording.
I believe you are too busy to just visit us, but if I am wrong please come without working. I thought if you combined visiting us with playing here it would be worth your while. I am willing and able to pay for your trip(about $200) and time playing and recording background blues (about $500) for my personal use. Of course, if I ever get famous I will give you additional royalties, but that is very unlikely. I think 2 days would be about right.
If you could come at the end of January or the beginning of Febuary, I could schedule an internal class for my employees around the same time. Gary, in particular, (cousin, excellent bass player, singer, and christian song writer)would love it. His sons will be here too; they both play a little guitar, and would love to see us play.
I will, also, check out a blues club in Boise, if you want your whole band to come.
