Women of Troy

Three piece rock band from Sydney

Women of Troy are a three piece rock band from Sydney.
The band has been together since 1999 with no line up change Jeremy Smith:vocals/guitar, Paul O'Reilly:bass/vocals, Damien Kent:drums/vocals.
The combination of this trio makes for some of the catchiest tunes and energetic live shows.
Women of Troy are of the melodic rock genre, they are a very hard band to pinpoint to certain influence. They pride themselves on striving for their own sound and not relying on the glories of past bands to provide them with an identity.
In September 2001 Women of Troy released their debut EP I'd Like to be a Lion" which earnt them many new fans. 2001 saw many firsts for the band including airplay on Triple J and they introduced their music to the nation on Channel V's "The Gig". This year 2002 sees the band recording new material and a video for another release in the near future.
