Modern Jazz CD Release
Fresh off a coast to coast tour of the Canadian Jazz
Festivals and US dates this past summer, modern jazz
vibist Matthias Lupri returns this fall 2002 with his 3rd
CD of original modern compositions entitled "Same
Time Twice" on Summit Records (DCD-337).
Original jazz with the sweet sounds of the vibraphone
and the modern forward thinking players of today's NYC
jazz scene. Critically acclaimed saxophonist Mark
Turner and guitarist (electric and acoustic) Kurt
Rosenwinkel have numerous albums out on Verve and
Warner Bros, while the bass and drum team of Reuben
Rogers and Gregory Hutchinson were with Joshua
Redman's band for many years, and presently Dianne
Reeves.
Other recent performances with Greg Osby, Rick
Margitza, George Garzone and Jeff Ballard.
