DAISHO is a three peice melodic hardcore band from Santa Cruz California. The trio is quickly gaining some definite rock momentum working as a self-contained band in pursuit of recording their first album together.****
DAISHO is the Japanese word for the set of two swords, one long and one short, carried by the Samurai. This in more than one way represents a contradiction. The Samurai found importance and use from both the long and the short sword. The Samurai himself was a contradiction for as much as he was a fierce warrior, he was an artist, a poet, and ideally a pacifist. DAISHO does the same with music. Within one intense song DAISHO can rip you to shreds with a torrent of desperate screams, tormented guitar, intricate drumming and thunderous basslines, then quickly lull you close to euphoric slumber with soothing melody.
