Krispen Hartung's artistic background is an experimental and continuously evolving road trip marked by many excursions and detours - from formal classical guitar instruction at age 12 to axe slinging, technical progressive rock in the 80s.and from art rock and fusion in the 90s to traditional jazz and avant-garde in the new millennium. Hartung now exhibits a dynamic and atypical performance style that integrates multiple genres and gives new meaning to the world of improvisational guitar. His solo CD "Places" was released for sale in April of 2004 and is now accompanied by two music video DVDs: "Alice in Cyberspace," a collection of real-time looping performances, and "Microscopic Horrors," a bizarre and experimental production featuring live videos of microscopic organisms with excerpts of "Places" as a soundtrack.
