The official website of the Johnson City, TN band Takacs.
From the depths of hell (that's right. Johnson City, TN) comes the doom metal band Takacs. Formed in 1999 by Marcus Takacs (vocals, guitars, bass), Takacs has released several demos to the underground community, including the 2001 self-titled E.P. and their recent release entitled "XXX". The bands influences include such doom metal bands as Crowbar, Solitude Aeturnus, Anathema, and plenty more. The album will soon be complete and ready for sale. Keep an eye on this site for future Takacs news and brand new tracks for sale.

I was impressed by the large sound from one man. I found myself drowning my sorrows in a pint and throwing my fists through the wall. The music should be described as experimental metal as it takes influences of doom, gothic, and industrial metal vibes. I'm waiting to see if anyone notices this band or if they just let birth a monster in the underground.
