Brute Forcz

Now more than ever, heavy metal has seen quite a few “jocks that rock” bands leave an indelible impression on the scene – Fozzy, Free Reign, and now, Brute Forcz. Comprised of former wrestlers Jammer and Slammer (a pair of twins who handle vocals/bass and drums, respectively) and guitarist Will Wallner, Brute Forcz formed in 2010, and a year later, have a debut EP ready to go, produced by Bob Kulick – ‘Kick Ass Heavy Metal.’

“We had started our band shortly after high school,” explains Jammer. “That was disrupted when we got a golden opportunity to wrestle. After being a professional wrestling tag team for quite a few years, we decided to try acting, to branch into another entertainment field. Having some success including national commercials for IBM, Budweiser, and most recently being part of the latest Adam Sandler movie, ‘Jack and Jill,’ we decided to pick up where we left off with the band. We played our first gig in Tarzana, CA, on January 28th, 2010.”

Soon after their live debut, Brute Forcz quickly created a buzz amongst west coast metalheads, by sharing the stage with the likes of WASP, LA Guns, the Michael Schenker Group, Loudness, Joey Belladonna, and Y&T – as well as a headlining gig on their own at the House of Blues.

It didn’t take long for producer/guitarist Bob Kulick (who has previously worked with such renowned rock names as Kiss and Meat Loaf, among countless others), who produced Brute Forcz’s aforementioned debut EP, ‘Kick Ass Heavy Metal.’ “For a smaller, wiry guy, Bob ‘Bonecrusher’ Kulick has a tremendous bite,” recalls Jammer. “It was absolutely one of the best experiences of our lives working with both Bob and Brett Chassen. Bob actually made us better musicians and a much better band. We learned so much from him, we cannot praise him enough. We hope that we are able to do all our future recording with Bob.”

And as evidenced by such stand out tracks as “Live for Speed,” “Sex Machine,” “Leather N Chains,” and “Thrill Queen,” Brute Forcz manage to combine the sleaze rock of early WASP with the speed and rifflery of early Metallica and Motorhead into one potent metallic cocktail. And the trio doesn’t let up on the concert stage, according to Slammer. “Our shows are loud, big, thick, and in-your-face. Our only love song is titled ‘Teenage Lover.’ That should give you a hint!”

And Jammer is not bashful when it comes to discussing his and Slammer’s wrestling career, which included wrestling with or against such renowned names as Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Abdullah the Butcher, and Booker T, among others. “We wrestled for a total of 15 years (with breaks in between for body breaks and acting). One of our favorite moments in wrestling was when we won our very first tag-team belts (Georgia All-Star Wrestling). We defeated Buff Bagwell and Chris Walker for those belts. We were extremely saddened when the fans at the match accused us of cheating, because we are twins, and have the same hair and wrestling gear was no reason to think that we could use trickery and deception to win. We actually held onto the tag team belts for a year (the longest time ever for that association). Oh, and by the way, we were never caught cheating!”

With a new hard rocking release in the stores and more live gigs coming up, Jammer offers the following hint as to where he sees Brute Forcz headed in the future. “To go as far as we can, to tour as much as possible, and to hit you with BRUTE FORCZ!”
