BC Rich Temple of Worship

the ultimate guide to bc rich guitars past, present and future

Hi,
Just a wee bit of background about myself I am
29, and have been playing guitar/bass for 15 years .
Throughout the years I have had Gibsons, Fenders,
Rickies, Yamahas, Ibanez, Washburns etc... and was
generally very happy with what I had at that time. I
then discovered B.C. Rich guitars and was hooked.
They beat every competitor in every dep., build
quality, sound, variety of woods, pickups etc, support
was fantastic and so on. I then began to collect more
B.C. Rich's and haven't been disappointed with any of
them.

he designed the wiring for the bich, so he would be the one to ask.

Re: left handed b c rich gunslinger

www.edromanguitars.com has a gunslinger bodyblank you can build one

Serial number E704114 ??

While I know it's an import (made in korea) am curious to know date of production, model, and approx. value. Picked it up at a pawn shop. It's the sweetest electric I've ever played!!! Thanks

Older B.C Rich Warlock info?

I just recently bought an older B.C Rich Warlock from a friend of mine.I was wondering if anyone could help me with some background information. It's a hot pink platinum series(older platinum series with hockey stick neck and six in line tuners)Warlock. The serial number is 3250.It doesn't say where it was made.It just has 3250 on the neck plate.

BC Rich Bass // Need help with serial # //

Just picked up an older BC Rich bass (4 string)
It has one S.Duncan pickup and one has rocker switches on it...
3 pots and 2 switches on the body...
It's shaped like this:http://www.edromanguitars.com/parts/bodyblanks/images/bodyblank_bcr_bass2_900.jpg

The plate says LA California U.S.A.
Serial # B 7489
The headstock says MADE in USA

It looks like the neck has been off before, could someone have bolted a USA neck on an import body? I have no idea, any other ways to tell if a body is legit?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated,

Thanks,
Slayer

Re: BC Rich Bass // Need help with serial # //

Year of production 1987

I just bought one like yours off ebay.
It has two minitoggles and 3 pots.
same body style.
made in usa on headstock.
La California on neck plate
and a serial number with B74XX.
I have found another "legit" made in the usa with all of these characteristics, so I would assume they are all USA models.
The odds of three basses with USA neck swaps onto identical boddies is kind of far fetched!
Congratualations you've got an american made bass!

HELP! Need bc rich bich nj series schematics

like the title i have a older bich and need the schematics so i can put it back together

How Old is my Warlock Bass?

I recently acquired a warlock bass which is pearl white and has an arched headstock with stylized B and C on both sides of a RICH that goes down the headstock. Bass is rather heavy. Body has some slight dings on it. The man that sold it to me says its 'more than a couple years old'. It has two tone knobs that are covered in plastic (?) and look cool. Above the pickups is a little piece of wood to rest your thumb on. The strange thing is that it is an NJ bass (overseas made, apparently) and has, under the bolt on neck, a metal plate that says BC Rich California USA. The Serial Number is B5844.

Anyone know how old it is? It sounds sooo nice, deep, and the nylon covered strings make it so smooth.

Re: How Old is my Warlock Bass?

year of production is 1987

Re: How Old is my Warlock Bass?

its a mid/late 80s model. japan made(maybe korean).
the neckplate just says where the company was based from.

Re: How Old is my Warlock Bass?

thanks a lot!

bc richard assasin?

well i have this turquoise bc richard assasin guitar, and I need to know how much does this type go for? i have the case and all. practically brand new. it was just given to me....so please help.. =o)

Older BC Rich Warlock

I have an older BC Rich warlock, wondering what year it might be from or how much it would be worth. It's NJ Series but is not neck-thru and does not have the speed loader string system. It also doesn't have a widow headstock, but rather a very triangular and sharp looking one. It it blood red, with the neck painted to match the body, has all black hardware, and a very good locking tremolo system. It has also been modded with dual active EMG humbuckers and has very intense tone. Any responce as to the possible value or year of this guitar would be appreciated.

Re: Older BC Rich Warlock

probably from the early 90s. it would probably go from $250-$350

Re: Older BC Rich Warlock

Is that american? I payed about $500 canadian for mine.

Re: Older BC Rich Warlock

yeah, thats us$. i don't know what that would translate to canadian though.

Older guitar-wiring

what does the serial number of b6666 mean?
any schematic of wiring an assassin w/one hum. one knob, floyd rose?

Re: Older guitar-wiring

well w/one hum. one knob, floyd rose that would be a gunslinger(not assassin)and guessing from the ser# is probably from the late 80s. though i don't know where you would find the wiring diagram for it.

Info on older Bc Rich

I have an older strat/assassin type model-B 6666, what does the number mean? it was made in LA. The headstock says Made in U.S.A.
One hum. one knob, Floyd rose.

1983 BC Rico Acoustic

http://www.canvas42.com/rico/

I have a BC Rico Acoustic from 1983.
I have never seen another one.
I have never heard of anyone with one.
I have never seen one for sale anywhere.

I am interested in the woods, Solid or laminated, and
what types of woods are used. Mandolin Brothers in NJ
once told me the back looks like Jacaranda wood from Brazil.
I think the neck is Mahogony with an EbonyFingerboard.

I paid $359.00 for this acoustic in 1983 and was thinking of
possibly selling, possibly keeping. The problem I think is
that the value is probably not too high, but to get the same
quality today will cost $1000-$2000 if your looking at Martins or
Taylors, or Gibson.

If anyone knows the history / wood info / or current value...
I would love to hear from you.

If anyone wants to consider purchasing it
check out the photos.

Serial Number available if you want it.

Please email an answer as well as posting a reply
as I dont always check this forum...

Here are the photos:

Re: 1983 BC Rico Acoustic

I have the same guitar purchased 1981 around $250 - less ornate, model # RW-2A / dot inlays instead of clouds / no pearl on saddle / single herringbone on back instead of double. Like you, never seen / can't find much info.

Interested to know if you were able to find more info anywhere??

Looking for a Mockingbird in the 500-800 price range. Also have Peavey Wolfgang that is expendable

I really really want a good solid B.C. Rich Mockingbird. I love the looks and the sounds of them. I remember seeing one a while ago on ebay that had coil splitting and was a beautiful pearly white. How rare are these? Can i find one of these or are they pretty much out of the question? I have around 500-800 dollars i can spend on this guitar. I also have a Korean made Peavey Wolfgang Special i can throw in if extra money is needed. Anyone with a Mockingbird for sale drop me a line at MIKE31@peoplepc.com (year makes no difference to me).

79' koa mockingbird for possible sale

its a koa wood mockingbird with diamond inlays, rosewood fretboard, grover deluxe tuners, maple stripes , neck thru usa model,
the only thing is that the electronics have been changed,...and the 5 way tone circuit doesnt have the coil,...i'm still trying to locate one ,....i may try a coil from a relay to see what happens,....and the pre amp is disconected,...but still there,....the tone and 2 volumes were changed to 1 meg volume pots and the tone was changed to a midrange type push pull pot ,.....serial #is 81092,...so this would make it a 79' or maybe earlier,.....since bc rich was way ahead of the # system ,....has a chip on the long horn thru the finish (very this finish ) and belt bukle marks on the back but NOT thru the finish,....headstock looks sweet,....and its sooooo vintage,...the reason i'm selling it is because it has a very wide thin neck profile and i like different type necks,....my friends think i'm nuts to sell it but here it is.it looks like slash's koa from 79' except his has cloud inlays and has binding and mine doesnt have that.

i need a usa warlock neckthru with only one humbucker

i really need a older usa warlock neckthru with only a humbucker in the bridge. the ones ive seen for sale arent that expensive but as soon as i inquire about one im told it has already sold. i dont really care about the color but would prefer it not be a florescent one. fixed or tremelo bridge makes no difference to me. i would prefer the reversed non pointed 6 in line headstock. please help. no repaired ones unless done professionally and at a good price.

help with a bc rich warlock

i'm after any info on warlock i've found. it's an nj series in pearl red with kahler tremolo, adjustable bridge, don't know how to identify pick ups. body is a bit damaged, it has a 4 digit serial number. would like to find out how old it is and what sort of money it's worth. thanks

Re: help with a bc rich warlock

what is the headstock shape? if it is a pointed one and has a sort of drupped front point it is a mid/late 80's. beyond popular beleif these do not have dimarzio pickups. most just have stock bc rich pickups. most of these guitars in decent condition can bring 150-300 if not too beat up
