BC Rich Temple of Worship

the ultimate guide to bc rich guitars past, present and future

Hi,
Just a wee bit of background about myself I am
29, and have been playing guitar/bass for 15 years .
Throughout the years I have had Gibsons, Fenders,
Rickies, Yamahas, Ibanez, Washburns etc... and was
generally very happy with what I had at that time. I
then discovered B.C. Rich guitars and was hooked.
They beat every competitor in every dep., build
quality, sound, variety of woods, pickups etc, support
was fantastic and so on. I then began to collect more
B.C. Rich's and haven't been disappointed with any of
them.

Wanted. Bich Supreme black

Hello, I am looking for something that is not easy to find.
This guitar would be Bich Supreme with the specs that Kerry King uses on his Wartribe. Kahler Flatmount (which calls to be factory set because it wouldn't fit otherwise), Floyd Rose saddle, EMGs and not too many many wizard electronics. The important thing: the guitar should be black. Something that makes it rate, I guess.
If anyone sees or has something to offer, let me know...

Ironbird dating, please help

i'm trying to date it.
the serial number is b6555
its an NJ series 'bird, with 3 pots and one toggle on it. i have suspicions that it was bbuilt in 1987.
any help is great, thanks

Re: Ironbird dating, please help

i have a gunslinger that is #B69XX that i bought in 1987. i don't think the Bxxxx ser #s stayed in order. so your guitar could be later than mine. i would say around '87 is pretty close though.

LA Series

the shape of the guitar is similar to a strat shape, pickups are Bc rich reflex 2 single coil and one double battery operated pickups. floyd rose bridge w/whammy bar. the front of the guitar is snakeskin pattern, black back.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

b.c rich warlock

i would recomend this guitar to anyone, i agree with the site manager when he says b.c rich's are better than all others, lets hope the b.c rich beast that i'm getting will live up to my expectations!!!

Re: b.c rich warlock

I had that guitar like 15 years ago and know for a fact this guitar is not that nice. I would not recomend this guitar unless are fairly new to playing but still think there are better necks and the iron bird body is not that user friendly. This guitar did stay in tune a lot but it had the locking system. The tremelo was ok too. Oh, also had to change the pickups so put EMG's in it.

Re: b.c rich warlock

How nice this guitar is will depend largley upon 2 things. WHen it was made and what series it is. You won't catch me buying any new BCrich guitars, that's for sure.

Class Axe v. BC Rich American Made

I know everyone says that in order to tell a Class Axe, to look for the TM on the headstock. I have a USA ST-III and there is no TM on the headstock, just MADE IN USA. However, on the back plate, there is a TM next to BC Rich and above the serial number. Is this a Class Axe, or a real USA.

It's a USA

A serial number would help us.

BC Rich Gunslinger

Hi,

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years and recently have got hold of a Red BC Rich Gunslinger. I have been searching the net for info re. these guitars but to no avail.

It has a BC rich Floyd rose trem, 1 humbucker mounted straight (I have seen some which are angled), with BC rich written on the pickup. The headstock is black and just says BC Rich on it. Where the neck and body join there is an inscription on the plate - It says - LA California, USA. the serial number is - BC30220

I'd be really grateful for any info you might have on this guitar (e.g. Approx age etc..)

Many Thanks

Dating 1980s NJ series guitars by serial number....and other general info

Is this even possible? I have a couple of what I believe to be 1986-1987 NJ Warlocks that are just incredible guitars. One with the double locking Kahler and the other with the single locking floyd. I would also like to know what kind of wood these were made from. I have heard stories about the NJ series having some guitars that were started in Japan and had the finish work done in California. Is this true?

Re: Dating 1980s NJ series guitars by serial number....and other general info

go here and ask:
http://mcs.acidpit.org/

trying to date these guitars without a pic would be impossible. i do know the only bcr guitars made in japan and assembled in the US are the US production series. these had "R" logos on the headstock and Uxxxx ser. #s.
if you could post pics of these on the mcs board i'm sure someone could give you a pretty good idea of the year and specs.

Re: Dating 1980s NJ series guitars by serial number....and other general info

Very cool, thanks for the help. These are both guitars I have had for more than 10 years and love to death. There is no way I am unloading them..hehehe....I'll be sure to check that link.

Re: Dating 1980s NJ series guitars by serial number....and other general info

ps......I just saw about the Lawsuits...........they might not be very accomodating right now. Heh.

: Hello How do I find out what my guitars are worth. I have a 10 string bich that is from 1976 or 77 and a warlock from 1986-87

Your Bich is very unlikely to be from 1976 especially as Neal Moser, the designer of the Bich and the electrics never built the prototype until September of 1977-send me pictures and the serial numbers of both guitars and I'll date them both for you,I am part of the unofficial serial number database team

my email is lorne.joanne@blueyonder.co.uk

Lorne:-)

Re: What are my BC Rich guitars worth

The 10 string is worth some coin if it is in nice shape and well cared for......well into the 1500+ range. The 86-87 warlock...really depends upon if it is a USA or NJ.

Thanks so much for the answer - The bich was bought and hardly played maybe 2 times and has sat in the case all the time its KOA wood. The warlock was a gift - which again I never really played. I don't know how to tell it it is USA or NJ (what is NJ BTW) I can tell you it is different then some I have seen as the the neck is smooth or all one peice to the body

Re: What are my BC Rich guitars worth

Hy Bob
Are you looking to sell any of them???

Re: What are my BC Rich guitars worth

If the Warlock is a Neck-thru from the 80's it is a USA model. If it was NJ(Nagoya Japan) it would have it on the headstock, the neck would be bolt on, and the serial number would start with a letter.

You must have some kick-ass friends and family to get stuff like that as a gift. What color is the Warlock and what kind of bridge is in it?

Re: What are my BC Rich guitars worth

The Warlock may not necessarily be an American Made Guitar if it HAs a "U" above the serial number-That would indicate a Japanese amde guitar that was final assembled in America:-)

serial# ?

i have a bc rich warlock nj series i dont see any numbers on it were are they

Trade a 1977 Shorthorn Mockingbird Bass for a USA Rich?

I'm the owner of a 1977 Mahogany Shorthorn Mockingbird bass w/full active electronics. 100% original, with cosmetics being about 8.5 out of 10. I'm more of a guitar player and would be interested in trades for a pre 1985 USA BC Rich. I'm crazy about all the body styles, but prefer natural wood to painted bodies. Contact me at email or reply to pst whenever. Thanks to all!

Pre Class Axe Jackson Proto

Am hoping to identify a Gunslinger/assasin/ST? which I believe to be a handmade Wayne Charvel proto. Serial # in neck is hand carved in an employee headstock #114961. Plate says, "BC Rich #BC12822 LA, California USA." Anybody recognize this rig?
