I have a Cherry Red Eb3 circa 1966, which I have owned since 1972. I was still playing it up until recently. Great Rock – Jazz Bass. Had the frets ground off many years back when playing Funky Jazz but you can still see the frets. You just have to be accurate when you play, but gives added versatility. Original case. Thinking of selling it. Offers?

I have an all original walnut (it still has the protective plastic on back cover!) with an unbound ebony fingerboard.

I have a mostly original mahogany/walnut (dunno–dark brown, very cool) with a black pickguard. All original except seymour duncan humbuckers instead. Plays great. Indestructible. Good shape except some finish worn off where neck meets body. NICE guitar. Lemme know.

Looking for information that might pinpoint year of manufacture for a Les Paul Deluxe – Cherry Sunburst. Gibson says somewhere between ’70 and ’75, but want more info. Also, would like ideas on pricing – US$.

Do you know the serial number? If not you can look at the electronics on the inside of the guitar
and the pots are stamped with a number that can be decoded to tell you what year they were made
and thus give you a good idea when the guitar was made.

I have a Gibson RTV 79 built in 61 of Aug. Everything is bone stock even the Jensen speakers. The power cord is cracking due to old age and I still have some original tubes. To see this amp is a jaw droping moment. My question is what is this amp worth and where do I go to find more info.about it….
Thanks

I have one of those as well. It is pretty cool, I am looking for a schematic. You have to search and search, try some vintage amp sites??? Anyway [email protected] if you want to know what I know about these.
I have a Gibson Les Paul Firebrand that I bought (I think) in 1979. It has a Walnut body and an African Black Ebony fingerboard.
I also have a Gibson case for it and both are in very good condition. I don’t play anymore and was thinking about selling it.
I am just wondering what it is worth.

He means a Gibson "The Paul" Firebrand, I think. I have one. It’s a solid body instead of a semi-hollow body like a Les Paul. More like an SG. Usually finished in natural woodgrain. The neck is noticeably thinner, but not narrower. Frets are medium height and a little wide. Easy for fat fingers actually.

: I don’t thin he means a "the Paul" cause there is one called "Les Paul Firebrand" as well. It says "LP Firebrand" on the truss cover. And on "the Paul" it says "Firebrand The Paul". The diffierence between the two are as follow:
: LP: Walnut! No pickguard
: The Paul: Mahogany! (with a pick guard sometimes)

tell ya what, these guitars are one of the best there is for rock, doesn’t have the fangs in the high end, but they are an all round awesome guitar and the fact is, the pickups are T top, they alone are worth more than most would ask for the whole axe
ps, no, he means firebrand, they are a pretty rare axe as far as i can tell

I’ve got one too, just like the one you described. It’s a 1980 LP Firebrand. It’s called Firebrand because the Gibson logo on the headstock looks like it was burned in with a branding iron…
