Hey, i have a Marauder of my own, and i enjoy it thoroughly. But your Marauder is a 1975 at the earliest. The guitars were made from 75-80, and various aspects of the models were modified over the years. If your guitar has the "made in u.s.a." logo on the headstock, then it is definitely from 75-77, as those were the only years that logo was on the headstock. I could tell you more, but i’ll just give you this link which tells about a few 70’s Gibson guitars. Just scroll down till you see the Marauder section. Hope this helps. Well Ron, I believe that guitar is worth $2,500.00-$2,800.00
in the "used market". If you are interested in selling it..feel free to e-mail me. These Dove in Flight originals are every bit the same guitar as the new Doves in Flight, except for ornamentation, which I feel is an over-kill anyway. Too busy. These originals are much more appealing I think.

I have owned a WRC for about six years, and it’s a sweetass instrument. I purchased mine for $550, and I know the one you’re talking about on Ebay; that’s just too damn much. I would say try to sell it for about $700 and let them try and talk you down. I wouldn’t dip below $600, but I wouldn’t be selling mine either (unless it’s an emergency).

to say noone would pay 2 grand for a guitar that loses its value from simply being in the sun because the silverburst turns green and has kept its color for over 20 years is to call yourself a moron. a guitar that rare is definitely worth 2 grand when most of the rest of the les pauls cost at least 2 grand if not usually more.

hi my dad has given me his old Gibson he said it was made in 54 it is an ES 295 with all natural body and white banding it has a different type of bridge than any othe 295 that i have seen on the net this one has a swing type tail for the strings but the bridge is rose wood with 2 hieght adjusters and individual string adjustersit sounds and plays great can you first help me figure out what it is and if it is worth putting it on aa insurance policythe serial number is A16229 it also has a 20 frett finger board with double mother of peal inlay

rj we have had this guitar examined buy several people and then put it on ebay to the highest bid with a reserved price of 20,000 the highest bid came from a collector in the uk who posted a bid 17,500 the guitar was not sold and i still have it available for the right price

I have been given a Gibson guitar on the front of it is says Custom L-5 and on the bottom in the gold bracket is says L-5S. It is a solid body electric guitar. Where do I find the serial number on the guitar and where do I go to find out how much it is worth? Thanks
