Like you said in your last post, Randy, I know this is over a year old at this point, but I also have an Innuendo Baritone for sale. I’ll take $200 for it if you are still interested in buying one. It is practically brand new (I only played it once or twice…couldn’t find much use for it) I’ll throw in the case I got with it (which is, unfortunately a Coffin Case that has a little bit of wear on it and a slight tear on the surface.) It also came with an extra set of strings although they are 6 string bass strings, not baritone strings. If you are interested, please let me know.
do you still have this for sale?

Why isn’t there any information on the danelectro website about the Danelectro Reel Echo unit? I’ve recently purchased one and can’t figure out how to use the SOS feature… I’ve read the instructions and they are totally useless… I’ve been playing guitar for 24 years. I’ve been playing professionally for 10 years… This thing is making me feel like I’m a total idiot! Can anyone help me? Thanks
oops, I meant the Dan Electro Reel Echo… Sorry… I used to use the Dan Echo and it was a pretty good pedal. But, I’m really wanting to know if I just don’t know how to use the Reel Echo, or if it’s not working correctly!
Um, never mind… I just saw the sticker on the bottom of the pedal explaining how to use the SOS. Thanks,
Jeff

I need a wiring diagram for a circa 1961 Danelectro U1. Can anybody help me?
http://www.ronsound.com/ebay/u1.pdf
any help appreciated.
I would like to wire my reissue lefty 56 U2 with just one tone and one volume pot like the 56 pro reissue. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to do this properly and I have searched the internet far and wide and can’t find a diagram. If someone has done this, or if someone has a 56 pro, could you sketch me a diagram?
I did this exact wiring combo on my U2. I just followed the wiring diagram for a Telecaster. Go to seymourduncan.com or even Fender, and you’ll find diagrams. You’ll have to replace the switch a regular switch, as the Dano switch is a special type. Just use a three-way, Les Paul style switch. You’ll also replace the volume and tone pots with regular 250K pots.
Thanks 2deconblues. I have wired Teles and Strats, but it was the Dano switch I was not getting. Aparently they are not on-on-on as vintage Danos were. So if I wire it like a Tele, are the pickups in the middle position in series or parallel?
Hi , I have a NOS coral body that has pickup routs that indicate the neck needs to be 31 or 34 frets I have seen one photo of this setup and it was with a 4 string bass neck. So, I am looking for just such a neck
would anyone support a reproduction? If so what changes would be for the better,if any. I am shure I can make the bodies. The rest I think you can buy.

Hey, I recently bought a used danecho pedal, and it is great, but I would like to have an owners manual for it if at all possible. Please let me know where and how to I can buy one…thanks!!
I’m looking to sell one of these babies. It has the tobacco sunburst with white pickguard. I bought it in 2000. It has barely been played and looks new. I know they are discontinued and are worth more than the original price. Best offer wins!
I have been trying to buy one of these but keep getting out bid the last minute on ebay–I have another dano, and have wanted one of these specific baritones for a while–I feel cautious buying from a source that is not ebay etc.—I’m willing to negotiate somewhere between $250-$310, please let me know if you are still intersted in selling–do you have any pix? etc. Thanks, take care

Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone could tell me a little bit about the sound that you get out of the black licorice metal mini effect pedal. I was thinking about buying it because it seemed like a really sweet pedal, but I don’t know what it sounds like, if anyone has ever recorded anything even if its poor quality or wouldnt mind doing so and sending me the mp3, only has to be a few chords or so, it would be wonderful so I could get an idea for this sound. Thanks a ton
email: [email protected]
thanks again,
Matt
The black licorice is really REALLY good. It has an octave down function as well, which makes cool bass-ey sounds. Palm mute comes out clearly as does fast scales and pinch harmonics etc. Does not have drive control though, it is essentially set to the maximum, which an on-off stomp switch.
I just rewired a DC 59 I found according to specifications on danguitars.com, and there is a terrible ground buzz. It subsides when I move the guitar from horizontal to vertical. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
Does anyone know What year did the start making the U3 sunbursts and what colours they originaly were?
cheers
steve

Hi people
A colleague of mine has asked me to fix her Longhorn Bass. It needs the plastic (maybe metal?) body-edge jackplate, and the binding could do with being replaced too.
The jackplate looks to be roughly 2 inches by 1 1/8, and slightly curved (naturally!) and the binding is cream, approx 1 1/4 wide.
I checked Allparts but they don’t seem to have exactly what I need. I’d much rather get proper replacements than hack it (although she doesn’t mind if I do hack it – she just wants to start playing it again).
Any help is most appreciated!
Dave

I live in Norway and I’m looking for a Danelectro 12 string, new or used (the one with 2 lipstic mics). Around here no one seems to know if Danelectro produces guitars any more.
Can anybody help ?

Hello Eric,
I can tell that Danelectro are producing guitars again. Last summer I bought a Danelectro Pro 56. I’m very satisfied with it. I bought it in the Music Store in Cologne (Germany). The critics in the guitar monthlies were very good. This new model is of (much) better quality then the old ones. Especially the elements get a lot af praise. Recently they brought out two new models: a Danelectro Baritone and a new model Danelectro 12-string. These last two may not even be in the shops. The policy of Danelectro is to bring these guitars out in very limited numbers. Within a few years these guitars are already collector’s items! It’s even so that most of the guitar shops don’t get them, maybe there is no guitar shop in Norway that will sell them! As I told you I bought mine in the Music Store in Cologne (Koeln)for € 299. You order here by e-mail (www.musicstorekoeln.de)and it will be sent to you by post. You can definitely risk it to order it without having seen it! It’s one of the biggest music shops in the world I believe. With very good warrant terms. Also have a look at the danelectro website (www.danelectro.co
)
Order one you won’t regret it!!

Hi!
I have a original Silvertone 1448 1 lipstick (amp in case) guitar I am thinking of setting up properly for using live and I have some questions:
– Intonable bridge?
Does anyone have any experience using the one allparts replacment bridge?
– Refret?
What size frets would be ok for this guitar?
– replace metal nut?
The slots in the original nut are way to wide ( for .012) and makes the strings slide back and forth within the slot..
– Rewinding pick up?
What ohms sounds good on this guitar?
FBJ
Norway
I know how this may sound but can someone tell me the best way to physically replace the strings on my DC-59 with an acoustic guitar type bridge? It’s tricky! Thanks.
You shouldn’t replace all the strings at once. Do one string at a time. This way the bridge does not slide, the other strings will continue to hold the bridge in place as you change the strings.
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the manual for a Dan-Echo?
Can anyone tell me were I can find a schematic for a Danelectro Corporal 32 guitar amp.Late 1950"s.Thanks!!!!

Yea, this is a no brainer. E-mail or call Kent Armstrong!!! Nobody knows his pickups better.
anyone know anything about these p’ups? i’m trying to replace a broken bridge pickup for a reissue Dano DC model. i read a review of the Kent Armstrong p’up on the harmony central site that described "tangy mids" — just what i’m looking for, but it doesn’t specify which particular model and there are a bunch of lipsticks listed on the kent armstrong site. any advice would be welcome.
thanks,

I’m looking for infoschematics for an old dano virtuoso amp.
can anyone recommend a starter amp for the 56 u2 re-issue. I dont want to spend a lot of money, and dont need anything loud. but guess im looking for something with more of "bright" or "jangly" sound?

I just bought a Kustom Contender–a small but meaty tube amp. It suits my U2 very nicely, especially with the "bright" switch engaged. Lots of punch but sweet as well. Can’t beat it for $150.
just looking for a case for my baritone… would like one of the Dano Tweed ones… did they just use the bass case or was it a special case?
