30-year-old guitar

I have a 30-year-old guitar made by the Rodeo Music Corporation that was based out of Los Angeles, California. (Model No. RA12-N). The tuning pegs need to be replaced. This guitar measures 37-1/2 inches in length and the base is 13-1/2 inches wide at its widest point. A search of the web reveals nothing about the manufacturer or the model number. So several questions arise... 1)Am I measuring the guitar correctly so that those in the know will understand what size tuning pegs I need? 2)Are there resources of which I am unaware that might be able to point me in the right direction for additional information? 3)Do I need to measure the size of the tuning pegs? 4)And finally, am I spinning my wheels for nothing? (It was my wife's guitar and I'm trying to get it fixed for our 20th wedding anniversary.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
