I have a Conn f9. I don't know how old it is, but it is very well made and has a great sound. It is somewhat small, but that makes it easy to transport - and to play slide on. (I like open G tuning, and tend to be all over the neck, so I just find it easier to play on something that isn't heavy and large.)

It is a lightweight, 6-string acoustic. I have had some trouble with some hum on one of the frets, but that I think is more a matter of wear and tear than any fault of the manufacturer.

It is a badass little guitar, and everyone who plays on it really digs it. I don't know anything at all about guitars. This is the only one I've ever had in my possession, and don't see myself getting another. So I can't really compare it to other guitars in terms of sound or quality.

But those who know guitars say it is well-built and has a great sound.

Hope that helps.
