Missing: Fender Super 60 scematics

Hello! My Super 60 fell off the stage !!!! Now the amplifier is oscillating by itself, the reverb is totally unuseless! The tubes are replaced with new , so there must be a crack in the PCB or something like that.
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance.

Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

I'd like to communicate with anyone with info regarding Esprit and Flame guitars, marketed in the '80's as part of the Fender Master Series. I have some info obtained from Dan Smith at Fender, and I submitted a brief article to Vintage Guitar Magazine, which was published in the Feb. '98 issue.

Re: Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

Hi there! I have one of each in sunburst. Both are fine instruments and I love to play them.
I am interested in more information about these guitars and I also have some for you maybe.
Best wishes Göran from Stockholm, Sweden.

Re: Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

: Hi Goran; I'd be willing to e-mail you a copy of the 1984 Fender Master Series catalog(jpeg format) if you don't have it, in exchange for any info you have regarding these instruments. Thanks!

Re: Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

I have a Fender Esprit Elite (1984 I think) and could do with a photograph or drawing showing how the jack socket shouyld be mounted. I suspect that mine has been tampered with along the way as it is sitting on a star washer at the moment which surely cannot be original.

Re: Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

I have an Esprit standard - I've modified the pups as the originals weren't too hot - but apart from that they are top guitars that play like a dream.

My '84 esprit is a fantastic guitar but I think the tone may be a little more dull than either it was intended or perhaps I would like. Do you know what the original capacitors value should be? At the moment the electrics on my Squier Esprit are better than the Fender.

Re: Fender Esprit and Flame guitars

I've got a 94 Robben Ford signature model. If I can help with any info any of you still need, I'd be happy to. I'd be interested to know how the Squier measures up to the Fender - might be a good standby?

need info on fenders

I don't really have much knowledge of guitars....but I just bought my friend a a fender dg 11 (sunburst). I had heard that Fender is a good brand and although I don't know if he will like this guitar, I comfort myself with the thought that the guitar he owns right now is a second hand yamaha...fender is a better brand then yamaha, right??? I mean it doens't have to be the guitar of his dreams, as long as its enjoyable...so please give me some insights on fender and if I made a good choice..I hope I did coz I don't think I can return it!!!!! help....
=)

twin reverb

i recently purchased a Fender Twin Reverb from the 70's. i have no knowledge of how a tube amp works or how to care for it. i am also a little confused on the exact procedure of turning it on and off. do you turn the standby switch on first and then wait for 30 seconds and then the turn the on switch on? and when turning it off what exactly is the proper way to do it? and if someone could explain how the tubes work i would greatly appreciate it. thank you very much.

Re: twin reverb

You have a classic type amp there! Turn on the main power switch first then the standby switch about 30 seconds later. This will allow the output tubes filaments to warm up the tube. Then when you turn on the the stanby switch, the tubes plate gets hit with the high voltage. (about 460 volts DC so be careful back there) The stanby switch is important. Its not good for the tube to be hit with high voltage from a cold start. (the filament voltage is only 6 volts).. good luck,. joe

Telecaster help

Just picked up a telecaster in pieces!!! All apart in a box, cut wires, missing parts etc. Could use some help with re-wiring. A diagram would be a big help. Am able mechanically to do the work, just not familiar with the workings of an electric guitar.

Sunset Blvd Strat

Recently I have been looking at lot many new guitars and in the Sam Ash catalog I found a Fender Sunset Blvd Strat. This is the first time I have ever seen or heard of it so I don't know very much about it and any information you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Re: Sunset Blvd Strat

I was just at Sam Ash a few hours ago and I happened to see the Fender Custom Sunset Blvd Strat. I was buying a bass and while someone was getting the guitar for me I picked up the Strat and started playing. I liked it so much I am saving up money to buy one. The sound is great and it feels really natural for me. Hope this information helped.

Fender Bullet

I'm interested on info about the Bullet. Can't find anything, anywhere. It does say USA on it, so I assume it's made here. Anyone know where I can find out about it?

Re: Fender Bullet

Bullets were entry level, student type guitars early eightees, only made for a cpule of years. Designed to be budget minded solid body guitars. These were made with various cut out desings A mint cond. would be worth maybe $400

Re: Fender Bullet

I bought a dirty, unfunctional Fender bullet in a pawn shop today for $60 U.S. I cleaned the input jack and got lucky- it works! Just finished cleaning it off good. It needs a new nut, one new tuner, one new bridge saddle bolt and spring and strings. It seems to have a nice tone, but i won't know how good it is till I get the parts and set it up. Seems promising. Any offers on it?

Re: Fender Bullet

woa youre shootin low.first of all this thing is made in asia(fenders are made in mexico squiers are made in asia).first of all this thing is NOT a very good guitar.they buzz and the stings break ALL THE TIME.if youre lookin for a cheapie id go for the squier affinity strat.much better quality guitar.

Re: Fender Bullet

You're wrong on that one. There are two versions of the fender bullet. One is one which is made currently. This is trash. Don't buy them, they're horrific. The other is a guitar which existed in the early eighties. These were much higher end. They were made by both fender and by squier. The design is very different with these. They have smaller bodies than normal strats and they have cable jacks directly on the pickguard (no special jack holes). These guitar are beginning to be recognized as quality instruments.

Re: Fender Bullet

I use a fender bullet and I love its sound it's very raw. I pick up mine in a second hand shop in Somerset, England I know nothing about them but they are 'budget guitars'.
