I purchased my Fender F-260S in February 1986 in a music shop in Mt. Vernon, WA. The guitar and the Martin hard shell case were 500.00. The guitar alone was listed at 435.00. The only addition to the guitar is an internal pickup mic. I love the tone and have spent countless hours playing a great instrument.

I bought my Fender 260S in 1987 when they were first introduced. I would call myself an accomplished guitar player (I used to teach in university to make money, and played in a couple of bands over the years). This Fender is still my main acoustic. It has been very good down through the years. tone is great. Intonnation is great. I'm going to keep this forever now...I've had it for almost 25 years and I'm going to pass it to my kids one day. I wouldn't suggest this guitar is better than a nice Laravee, Taylor or Martin, but it is a very good guitar. The price is also good.
