Question about guitar part

Hi,
I 've just got a question, I would like to know the name of the "frame" that goes around the humbucker pick-up. I am not sure what it's called.
I 've been to some website and I only got a name like "humbucker pick-up rings", is that the correct name?

Wireing Humbucking Pick-ups

I am trying to install a Gibson humbucker pick-up in the neck position
of a Parker nightfly Guitar. The pick-up has switchible capability. I am unclear as to which wire goes where. This is a sterio guitar and the pick-up has four wires, RED,Black,White, and Green. There is also one unraped wire that I assume is a ground. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Re: Wiring Humbucking Pick-ups

I had this problem also. I was advised to solder together the white and green wires and screen them. This will join the two coils to make a humbucker. The black wire goes to earth together with the proper earth wire. The red wire is the hot wire and presumably goes to the volume pot.

I have not had chance to try it out though. Good luck.
