I also have a Alvarez model 5003.... beautiful excellent condition. an old man in his late 70s gave it to me with case, for helping him with yard work and household chores,and gave it to me. its serial no. says 4 . so im thinking, its gotta be the first 4 of the model. very rare ithink made in Japan it says on the inside. contact me if u know more about this.
