I, too have a Richter instrument, however, it is a ukelele (I believe) with an old paper label of the Duncan Sister's (Vaudeville team from the 1920s). It reads "Cicero Blues" on the neck of the guitar and Richter of Chicago on the back. Like Brad I would like to know more about the company, the age of the instrument, and anything else anyone might know. Thank you.
Re: Richter Mfg Co of Chicago, Ill
I have a Richter banjo ukulele, the "Sweetheart" model. All I could find out was that the Richter Mfg. Co. operated in Chicago from 1926-1944. If anyone has any further info I'd appreciate it as well.

Hi! I have a classical guitar made by the Richter Co. and it is model # 17239. It has been "rode hard & put up wet" and stored in an attic for years! Any info would greatly appreciated. Thx

: Hi! I too have an acoustic guitar made by the Richter Co. It has a Hawaiian seen on the face of the guitar. It appears to be in very good condition but the cloth case is worn. I have found no more information than anyone else on the website. Only the dates.
