    I have recently bought the above mentioned guitar,a Epiphone twin neck SG,12 strings up and 6 strings down,it has the new "wax head" pick up system on the 6 string and the one I own is the only one in Australia,bought in April from Pro Audio Canberra,I have had a new case made for it at a cost of $700,due to surgery removal of a finger on my left hand I find I need to sell this rare guitar,it ius chery red and is the exact same Jimmy Page uses,it has not been played yet and for a quick sale I am after $1500 (with case) cannot seperate>my phone is 6227-7180 please ring anytime,your fellow Gibson fan Leon Darcy…also I have a new unused Marshall JCM 2000 100 watt valve head with a slope 4×12" speaker quad box I want $3,200 ($800 off new price)..Thank you

    Hi, can anyone help me out on any info on this guitar? i have a 1980 Gibson Les Paul Custom Limited Edition Goldtop, 42nd one made, Serial# 80560084, it has a pearl plate on the back of the headstock with (Reg No 42) on it, meaning it was the 42nd one made of this kind, i was thinking of selling it but like to find out about what its worth, an Appraiser in Nashville, oh yea, i am from the USA, He told me it was a Limited Edition Model, 42nd one made with a very Rare Gold Lacqure Finish that Gibson did show in 1980, i bought it new, he said he nevr saw one like this one, email me for photos of the guitar and numbers if it would help you at [email protected], any info will be appreciated, thanks

    My guitar – A limited edition MATON Phil Manning Custom Stereo is no longer required. These were made in the early 70s and only approx 215 were sold on the consumer market. A collectors item or great sounding instrument for studio or road work. styled after the Les Paul and it is solid. If anyone is interested let me know and I will give further details.

      I’ve got the same guitar. From what I was able to find out..this is an 80’s model. The retail on the guitar was about $1050.00 – i thought that was awesome, i got mine for just under $400 🙂

      :Ripi, I have just come over from NZ. I have rebuilt a mid ’60s Bass, called Simpson, who was 1/2 of the Jansen team. I have a few articles on them. I replated some bits & resprayed in original colour, so didnt require anything.
      I have rebuilt a few guitar/ basses, what parts you kneed ?

      The silverburst has been stopped from making. The colors would mix together over time and would form a green color. You can find one on ebay.

      Why would you want to buy such an old piece of junk ? If you are looking for a guitar to play and it has to be a 60’s you must at least invest $5000, all the good ones are off the market.You can get much better Telecasters for less money made in Japan, belief me !!!

    I have recently purchased a Les Paul Classic Gibson and I am just a home muso who would like a small amp to enjoy his own playing without waking or annoying the neighbourhood.

    HELP

    I have a headphone amp to help me practise but I will eventually want to hear it through a better system than that. I would appreciate any assistance that you guys could offer.

It was a Gibson Les Paul, I think Studio, red Mahagony, special edition with golden mechanics and mother of pearl inlays on the fret-board. Cn anyone tell me how much I would have to pay for this guitar in Austrlia?

      Check out eBay auctions – there are several on sale most of the time. Also Guitarbase (www.gbase.com) – search under ‘Tenor guita’ in the pull down menu. Plus check out the Tenor Guitar Registry website (http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/tenorguitarregistry) – it has a ‘for sale’ section in the photos folder.
