This was a 196?. It was a D28E but it was discontinued shortly after produced because the pickups made it more like a electric than accoustic. I did research and this is what I had found. The best best is to get a vintage D28. Good luck and let me know what you find.

the guitar kurt plays on unplugged is a martin d-18e their were only 302 ever made. if you'r looking for one too buy you should have atleast a couple thousand dollars to spend.
well that model (Martin D-18E) was discountinued and i dont beleve u could find it on any (new item)music store,nor internet store.very few of this quitars were made,about 300 to 400 .this is becoming a collectible quitar,i myself have been looking for it for years.maybe if your lucky you could find a used one for at least 1000 bucks :( !
