I was given an old Elk 50W Echo Amp, but it had been completely cannibalised - no tubes remain at all. I have no knowledge whatsoever about any of the technical stuff you guys are all talking about, but my grandfather used to do electronics. He's sure he can get it back in perfect running order, but without a schematic there's not much he can do, apparently. Having combed through all the posts, there is a lot of different information from different sources, so I'm hoping I can get some consolidated info on exactly what he needs to know to put things back in order... I can't wait to get my guitars hooked up to this apparently kickass amp...
