i have one of these babys just like a black les paul custom these i hve been told were made upto about 1971 and are made from a special wood called plank

Jedson Guitars
I've just bought a Jedson les paul copy, its cracking but like evrybody else can't find anything on them! Anyone?

I often play on my dads early seventies/late sixties jedson I cant find any information on the web......Search Jedson guitars in google and you find one image of a jedson (bass) guitar! What is going on?

lol keep looking you probly still won't find any info on em. i got two jedsons both very nice, refurbished by myself... erm can't really say much except you refered to a bass picture... well for some reason some jedsons were converted from bass to normal guitars. if look at the heads on a lot of jedsons they resemble bass guitars. one of mine is one of these. they are not that rare but they are a nice old vintage guitar with a decent tone all of its own. i love em

I have a mid seventies les paul copy. But it does not have a brand name or serial number. All their is is a sticker that says lp-29t. Ibanez copies don't use that serial and so I was wondering what design your jedsons have on their heads.

im a guitarist in an up and coming band, i only use jedson guitars in that band for the tone etc etc... i use a shortscale 335 copy, and two telecaster copies one single pickup with a vibrato (converted by myself), and the other is a two pickup that had a broken vibrato when i bought it but i have put a solid tailpiece on it. i cant find any info on them really, i aquired my first due to the fact that i like the cheap 60s 'lawsuit' guitars. i believe the full title of the brand is 'James Edward Dean and Sons' hence JEDSon. and they began in the 20s or 30s making lap banjos and slide guitars, later being distributed by the Dallas Arbiter company of London. www.remembreremembre.tk

Hi i think the guitar is from the late 50s to mid 60s thay were a cheap guitar turned out for all the budding guitarest of that error.Hope that helps

Appraisers of Vintage Guitars
Where can I find information about appraisers of vintage guitars? I have a old Goya guitar (Model g25 made by AB Herman Carlson in Sweden) which I bought in 1961 and is still in very good condition. I want to find out it is worth today.

My father has a Gibson SJ200, Serial @1124P (the 4 is in red and I believe it was made during WWII period) and would like to find out what it's worth. The tweed case is original.

And the place of purchse and not to forget there is a number stamped on the inside of the instrument that number reads "369". Does it also raise the value if the guitar was used to play with certain bands back in the 30's and 40's?
the guitar was purchased in oaklahoma by a person with the name of "AB Lester" the band was the ????? and the Texas Playboys. Does this friend of mine have something? He also has a Violin that was hand carved back in the 1920's. Also has horse hair bar, case, etc. Please relpy A.S.A.S.

Sorry, but Fenix stopped making guitars in 1996. It was the brand name for Young Chang who are a superb piano maker. It ws the same company that made Japanese Fenders

I have a 1967 USA Barclay F-67 jazz style acoustic/electric I would like to find out more on or like to find others like it. I would also like to find out the current value.
gut strung guitar
can a 12 string guitar with steel strings be gut strung? Has anybody ever done this? I thought it would give a more mellow sound. Any comments? thanks bob
