hi! im john from portugal and i know a bit about columbus guitars...they were first made in korea with poor standards specifecly for a english importer. in the early seventies,the production moved to japan in the mid seventies and is when the guitars had a more or less good level of standard,then because it was more expensive the guit english importer mooved it to korea again,in the early eighties the factory closed,the british importer was called "FCN MUSIC" thats all i know...i used google on advanced search and typed "columbus guitars" i hope this helped...i also used "the ultimate guitar book"
