I've got two Fenix guitars. A Strat in vanilla yellow and a Tele in the same color.
At the moment the Tele is at a luthier for an upgrade. I've chosen for a Callahan bridge (with the modification string through body which the guitar didn'have) and new pick-ups from the brand Rio Grande. The luthier will call me when he starts the work to inform me whether the guitar (mainly the used wood) is worth of it. Altough most comments on the net praise the quality of this guitars I need to be sure before I invest 300€ into the axe. My first impression is rather good although.
The Strat has got a fixed tremeloe (I bought it that way)and the pick-ups are from a Japanese Fender.
I think (hope) that Fenix Strats and Tele's are well made but that you need to upgrade the pick-ups and the bride (or the whammy bar).
I'll tell you what my luthier think about it.
Price paid for the Strat 200€, for the Tele 185€.
Have you got any information about the serienumbers?
