My Fenix telecaster is made of baswood. My luthier replaced the pick-ups by rio-grandes which he modified personally. He also put another heavier bridge (string-thru-body-one).
This is the BEST telecaster I've ever played on.
(and I also have got an american and a japanese fender)
I'm 48 years old and I have played the guitar since 1970.
My other Fenix is a stratocaster with a large headstock. The quality of this guitar is amazing. If you see a Fenix and you have the opportunity to buy it.... Don't hesitate, just do it!
