Re: ANEA guitars
: : : : I have an ANEA solid body electric from 1981, shaped like an ARIA ZZ model. It has a USA made KAHLER tremelo and string set system. It is well made and plays great. The only other ANEA anywhere is a Telecaster style for sale in Winter Park Fla. Anyone out there have any ANEA's?
: : : I have an ANEA Powerformer series Bass guitar that is copy of a Daion MarkXX bass. I have tried to do some research but always come up empty handed. There is no serial #. There was and anea electric guitar forsale on ebay a few months ago and I noticed that it was a copy of Daions electric. I feel that somehow Anea and Daion are connected. My anea is a bolt on neck and the Daions are neck-thruogh. Daoin was a company in texas that was owned by a japanese guitar builder and they made very quality instruments in the early 80s but soon went bankrupt. That's about all I know.
: : Hi:
: : Like you I have this solid body Bass that is a bolt on neck sound and plays great but cannot find out anything about it. I was told once that is might be german made, but have not been able to get anything I could bank on.
I just bought an Anea (or Avea?) Powerformer Series bolt on solid body. No serial number or country of origin. Beautifully made with maple & walnut body & US Kahler. Paid $80 at GC in Rochester NY. I think it's a steal. Can't find anything about it either.
