I have recently started playing guitar and my dad owned this Conn Acoustic it has no serial number or model name. It was made in possibly the late 60s or the early 70s. What I was wondering if it was a well made guitar and how would I be able to find out the model and serial number?
We have this guitar/The name is Conn serial # 1174452, model # C-11.Any information you could find on this I would greatly appreciate. I need to know where to look,or what to look for.

I have a conn c-11 guitar sn# 11780037 made in Illinios. I am looking to sell it so purchase one for my son that is more his size. Can anyone tell me approximately how much it is worth. It is in excellent condition.
Conns, while a great-sounding instrument, often sell at only $50-$150, depending on their quality. I most often see them listed at $75-$100.

I inherited this guitar when my father passed on. The pawn slip that's still rattling around inside says he bought it in feb of '73. Can anyone out there tell me anything about this guitar? When it was made? Value? Serial # 71112420
I have no intentions of selling it, but I am rather curious about it.
Hi...Jerry it appears your guitar is from 1971 and Denise yours is from 1972. Japan used the 1st 2 digits of the serial (generally) to determine year of mfr. The value in my opinion is $200...depending on condition. I own a '72 model myself and really like it. They are nice for the money and look and sound schweeet...

I'm 76 years old, but I don't think of me being old. I play in a band regular as lead guitar> I have several guitars-my oldest is a Gibson ES175 and my newest is a Tayler T5 which is a wonderful guitar. Those two are my favorites
I bought a Conn F27 SN#(5 or S)-777-1112 in 1978. I wanted to know if anyone knows what woods were used in its construction. It has the 3 piece back. When I bought it I compared it to some $700-1000 guitars and prefered its sound. It has maintained its tone and has only improved with age.
The Back and Sides are ROSEWOOD and the top is SPRUCE. The fret board is ebony (not ebonized "colored")

I built 3 Hardison guitars from no name Fender style guitars, and installed Seymore Duncan pick-ups in all three with regular Fender switches and tone controls. I named them Hardison as it is my name, and have sold 2 of them. I still have the 3rd one that I play daily as practice. It is exactly the same as a Fender sound. I will sell it also, if anyone asks me, as I can build another one. I hope this answers your question, and thank you for your compliments. Bob
