Just found an acoustic guitar in the dumpster out back. Has the same info as above ie, Global Instrument Company. I wonder if this was just manufactured for something like Woolworth's department store and they just did it for them.
Sorry, no information. The guitar is alot smaller and has the number "4001" on the back.
