Hi, I am in Cape Town, South Africa and have been using a Gretch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman amp for many years - mainly jazz. I love it and want to replace some of the aging components. It is stamped 6061 in the bas of the cabinet. What can you tell me or advise on this amp.

I'm a musician with only a few guitars that I keep. I just inherited a great playing classical guitar. Its a "Dorado" made by "Gretch" in Chicago NY. It sounds and plays like a keeper. Can anyone tell me about this guitar? its value, though not for sale.?? last digits in serial are 003. does this can't mean the year because I believe my uncle has had it for much longer than 6 years. Any info is appreciated, I love guitars and just can't find this one anywhere. Thanks for your time.

My father was given a Dorado guitar Model 6029 Serial #1218 red in color with mother-of-pearl inlay. Can you tell me what year it was made and the approximate value. It has a few nicks on the front but none very big.

Hi, This was the first "real" guitar I ever owned. I bought it new around 1978 or 1979. It's made by Gretsch. Can't tell you what it's worth. I never looked into it, because it's my baby and I'd never sell. It has really good sound that has mellowed wonderfully with age. Hope this helps.

I have a Mini Lead 50 with a crackling sound. I've tapped on some of the components(resisters,caps) and have narrowed it to a small area of the circuit board. Any help on this would be appreciated. Also trying to determine the birth year of this amp. Ser# 069115-2 Thanks

by Gretsch in 1972-1973 (only these years) high end model with Brazilian rosewood neck, sides, and back. Lists for $200-$250 as of 2010.

Need info on schematic and how to get to electronics. Must back come off? I am a guitar techbician restoring neck joint and need info on proper neck angles. Neck joint was epoxied by agents in South Africa. Have managed to remove and have disassembled neck copmpetely for restoration. can you please advise where i can get original specs. Thanks, JAMES

All electronics is accessed through the pickup holes in the top. Tie string to the controls so when you pull them out you can also pull them back in. SChematic is avail on Gretsch site

I've got a 2005 6119 TR with an adjust-o-matic bridge. The saddle for the B string keeps buzzing after I've tried everything. I've even replaced the tension spring. Any suggestions?

I purchased one from an antique shop today for $400.00 in mint condition. In store cost for 1000 and up. How does it sound for I play the Hammond

I have a Dorado 1692 Model # 5865 or 5965. Can you tell me what it it is worth. It produces a vibration at the bottom end of the guitar that is annoying. How do you take card of it.

I've looked in every gretsch book that I could find over the years and have never seen a 6113, that is what is written on the original certificate and the serial number indicates it was made in 1961, I bought it used about 25 years ago. Can anyone help?? Thanks

Need a schematic for a small Gretsch Artist Amp. About the size of a Fender Champ, with an 8" speaker and 2-6v6's with a 5Y3 rectifier. 6sn7 and a 6J7 as well.
