Hi, i found this link: http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=71908&messages=67, it will probably give you some informations about your guitar which is a good one. By the way, i own a DR-8 serial number P-7073, pretty close to yours, bought in Montreal, Qc., in 1976. If you dont mind let me know where you bought your guitar.
