I have a Daion L-999, a great guitar. For the best info. about Daions I have seen so far, including pictures, catalogue and price list, see http://home.att.net/~daion/index.html.
Happy picking, Steve T.

: : : any kind of info would be helpful, ive got 3 electrics 3 basses and one acoustic and still dont know anything about them.

: : I have recently acquired a Daion Legacy guitar and am trying to identify it. I've talked to a couple of people who know quite a bit about Daion guitars but they aren't able to tell which model it is: L9, L99, or L999. It has two snowflakes side by side between the 4th and 5th frets, has a solid cedar top, and has the standard dark brown finish with dark wood binding. Does anyone know which model it is or know anyone who has a Daion catalog which identifies the three models. I can email images of the guitar to anyone who wants one.
: Hi there tjis is a legay L99. Please Email me a pic
: regards Björn

I have a daion legacy model 999 s/n 103 059 with also some feint marking which looks like AT:55.
I bought it new in about 1981, it was a first release I believe, Originally, it had a brass nut and brass bridge, but replaced these many years ago ( at Kirk Lorange's advice). It is a beautiful little piece, has some wear, and some damage ( it was at the receiving end of a thrown knife, nobody ever owned up though), believe it is a copy of a Martin 1938 or D38 model , but not sure.
