I have one also, it was purchased in the 70's from Lowes for around 85.00. It is red hollow body and the pick guard is black with an image of the red baron airplane flying. it plays well and I'm sure is considered an antique. Good luck with this. I love mine it belonged to my Dad!

i have the same one you have and also have no clue about it all i know is my grandpa bought it new along time ago and he is now dead so i cant ask him about it

I have one too. Got it when I was a kid in like 73/74. Are you interested in selling. I don't think it's worth a plug nickel, but it has sentimental value. Mine is red, the red baron pick guard is missing though.

As of 3/28/07 there is one of those up for auction on ebay [item #160100738465] starting bid $60. That's all I know about it - came here looking for info on it.

I have a made in Japan Hollow body Merlin Guitar with 3 humbucker [style] pick ups . Can you please give me any info on this guitar and its value.The only markings on the guitar are the name Merlin and Japan. Thanks for any help ,Dave
