      Hi Gary,
I feel you man. Someone removed the factory Bigsby from my 58 es225 so I’ve been looking for an original also. I’ll keep you posted if I find a good source. I was going to use one of the ones they make now but the anchor plates have different screw patterns and strap holder ports. Very frustating when they say they’re the oirginal design but you quickly see that the old ones were different. If you turn-up a good source please let me know. Good luck!

  2. iso eko "violin"-bass tailpiece
    Mark Applegate

I’m looking for a replacement tailpiece for my eko electric bass model 995("violin"style body. Thank you!

        G. Gort

I have a bass "Modello 990", a double cut-away model dated 1964. The tailpiece broke and was replaced by a different type. Now I am searching for the original type, equal to the 995 violin bass.
        Any suggestions??

The tailpiece on my Eko 995 also broke. A visit to my local music store found a drawer filled with misc. parts. The owner had been parting out old guitars and basses and stored the parts for this very need. There are a ton of japanese and italian copies of hofner basses. The tailpieces seem to be interchangable (maybe) The tailpiece I found worked perfectly. Also try Subway Guitars in Berkeley California. Check out their website for a wonder excursion into the cheap-o world of low end guitars. They also have parts up the wazoo.

I bought my Crimson burst Strat Ultra from a friend back in ’97 for $750.00 in hard shell case….I dislike the sound
of Lace Sensors so bad I replaced the whole pick guard with
all new electronics (seymor duncan vintage pickups). I am well satisfied with the sound now and can change it back whenever I want by swapping the pick guard out with the original one. Do you know anyone who knows what they are worth? I might sell ?!?!

    3. I own a '92 Strat Ultra
      aaron

bought it off of a friend a few years back…. I like it! They’re discontinued now, that’s why you never see them in a catalog…any questions — email me. thanks

    1. Re: re: Kalamazoo (sg style)
      Mike King

I may have what you are looking for, and I may not. In 1969, my parents bought me a powder-blue and maple single-pickup guitar with "Kalamazoo: Made in USA" carved into the Strat-style headstock. It had a tune-o-matic bridge and an adjustable vibrato (not tremolo, that’s different) tailpiece. The single single-coil pickup was encased in the same white plastic that covered most of the guitar’s front: a sort of extended pickguard.

While in the process of cutting the pickguard up to receive a couple of Super H.B.s, I misplaced the guitar and never recovered it. However, I managed to hang on to the vibrato tailpiece, for some unknown reason.

The tailpiece is made of flat spring steel with a strip of gray felt on its underside where it contacted the finish. The vibrato control is cold-stamped, chrome-plated steel. It is bolted to the tailpiece; the bolt runs through a nylon bushing. To tighten it, you have to spin it around several times as the bolt tightens into the tailpiece. Kinda weird, huh?

Does this sound like what you’re looking for? I’d kind of like to find the rest of my guitar; failing that, though, I guess it’d be nice for SOMEONE to have a complete instrument…even if that someone doesn’t happen to be me.

  5. "Gibson" pickup cover
    Stephen O'Rourke

I’m restoring my early seventies SG. I’m looking for a chrome humbucker pickup cover with the Gibson logo pressed into it.

  6. Eko model 1100 cello body guitar.
    Anthony Akong

Does anyone have pictures or any information of an Eko model 1100 cello body guitar. Made in 1963, it has a single cutaway body and "F" sound holes. I am also interested in spare parts for the same, as I am trying to rebuild one.

  7. Neck Plate for Fender Strat Ultra
    Matthew Kelly

I’m looking for a neck plate for a Fender Strat Ultra.
They were the same as the standard 89-94 Strat neckplates but they had ULTRA stamped on the base of the plate.
I’ve recently bought a second hand Strat Ultra unaware that it didn’t have the original neck plate on it. And I want one.
    Any help would be appreciated.
