Hi there
I have a Supro Coronado electric guitar, complete. Contact me at if you’re interested in buying it. I live in Los Angeles by the way, if that simplifies things geographically.
I need a Epiphone headstock emblem for a 1950 Epiphone Century guitar. It is attached with three small nails/screws. I also need an original pickguard or info for obtaining an orginal sized "white" E decal for my replacement pickguard.
I am looking for a black push button top for a 1953/54 Guild stratford X375. The guitar has 6 push buttons that control the 3 pickups or combinations thereof. My guitar is missing one of the tops to the 6 push buttons. If you have one of these buried in your collection, please send me an email
I am missing a screw that fits into the back of the machine head on a mid sixties Silvertone. It is an American thread and I can’t get one in England. Any help would be appreciated.

Which screw is it? The one that connects the gear to the string post? Is the screw head slotted? Can you send or post a picture? I have some old Harmony tuning machines of that vintag; let me know if you need a few parts.
: I need a wooden bridge for a fibreglass airline like Jack White’s. Any help would be appreciated.
Me again. I’m not sure what Jack White’s guitar looks like, but I do have a Harmony wooden adjustable bridge that probably duplicates the Airline model. Also, I have an Airline pickguard assembly with the original DeArmond pickup coming in soon. Good luck with your project.
I have a blonde finish harmony archtop that was my father’s and does not have the trapeze bridge assembly. If anyone knows where I could get one, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
: Anyone know where I can get replacement pickguard and "E" for an Epiphone Granada?
Here is a site I found. I also have an epiphone granada guitar. Well I told it was a Granada. It looks like a es 335. So i am assuming it is. I just ordered a pickguard for it. I to want the "e" symbol. here is company that I found that will make one for $2.50. http://www.printstyles.com

I have a Royce model 330 accoustic guitar made in Japan. It’s a beautiful instrument with mother of pearl inlays, great sound, and it is in mint condition.

I have a 1976 Ibanez Byrdland. I’m looking for a pickguard that came with this instrument in 1976, w/ bracket(gold). The bracket is the most important part I need.

Well, I have one complete Ranger 12 that I’m playing, and a PERFECT Ranger 12 body that needs a neck and machine heads that I want to assemble as a backup. I’m not too worried about original machine heads…but I’d love to find someone who’d sell me the bolt-on Ranger 12 neck in good shape. Ideas? Thanks, Gordo
: I have a Conrad Acoustic guitar model 40229. I could find very little about Conrad guitars except for a paragraph which told me that they were made in Japan from about ’72 to ’78. Would appreciate any other info such as relative quality, value, etc. Thank you.
I don’t know much more that you but just had conrad 40218 given to me. It’s really pretty mahagany and looks brand new. Zero scratches anywhere. I don’t think it’s ever been played. G B & E strings are nylon but it has nice sound. Anyway, if you find out something let me know. Seewo
I have a Conrad 40218 that I just purchased. I know it was made in the 1970’s, but has the sound of any Martin or Gibson that I have ever played. I am amazed at the sound and playing of this guitar. After all these years, everything is still good and no adjustments had to be made. All I had to do was replace the strings and I had an equivalent $2000.00 Gibson or Martin. I once had a D28 Martin and this Conrad equals it-maybe possibly better. I can never run down a Martin, but my Conrad is just as good in playing and sound.
I have a conrad 40212 and am also looking for information on them. There is a local mythabout m guitar that it was a present from the musician Donovan, but I have no way of knowing if this is true. If there are any good sites for Conrad guitars please let me know
I have a Conrad 40229 acoustic that I bought new in August 1974. Have had many others since but still love the sound of this blond guitar. Very bright. Anyone know anything about the company or the line of guitars? I remember paying 120 bucks in 74. I will never get rid of it. Many memories.

Hey Donna,
I just saw your post about the William E Conrad guitar. He was my grandfather. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 95. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and he made the guitars with the help of my dad and some friends. He also volunteered at one of the local universities and taught guitar lessons to students. When they were finished with the course, he gave them a guitar. He also made other various string instruments from violins to bass’s. I’d love to see what you have.
Thanks,
Jessica Conrad
I have had my grandfathers guitar in my possession for many years now. The name Conrad always made me curious about where it came from. Until now I was never able to find any info on it except for a false info site a few years back that stated it was an off brand import. It never sat right with me given the high quality craftsmanship and overall sound of the guitar. It seemed way to nice to be an import. The Conrad I own is a 40174 with a very intricate pickguard covered in white and red roses that I have never been able to find another image of online. I would love to know more about your grandfather and his work.
Hi I am refurbishing a Conrad 40110 serial no. 472. Badly dinged and scratched. Was spay painted grey then resprayed white, absolute mess, but still sounded really good. Does any one have any info on the year of build?
Thanks. Allan.
I bought a Conrad model #40226 back in the seventies for $50.00. So many times l remember people with more expensive name brand guitars would rather play mine. Can’t believe there’s so little known about them. Main thing is. I’m keeping mine
I have a Conrad 12 string that I’ve dragged around the country with me since the early 70’s. Bought it mail order from Sears Roebuck Co. It’s a bit worn and needs to be set up but still has an awesome sound. It’s like an old friend. I don’t know much more than the rest of the people that own them. Made in Japan, late 60’s early 70’s. Let me know if anyone has more info.
Thanks
HI i was wondering if any of these guitars you guys have happen to have a gold seal in the sound hole ring and maybe even have the name William E. Conrad? These are mostly spanish style and are handmade acoustical guitars. if possible could you post pictures and also let me know if they are for sale?
i am not sure how to post pictures here. I have one with the gold seal in the sound hole and it has the Willam E. Conrad on the head and the signature William E. Conrad inside. What are these worth?
Hey I was wondering if there was any way you could send me pictures of the guitar and I will try to get you as much information as possible. I am one of his granddaughters. As far as value, to me it is purely sentimental value honestly. Thank you
I got this guitar from your grandfather around 1970. It is an amazing piece of work. I understand that he passed away (fairly) recently, so my condolences to your family.
Thank you so much for the condolences. He lived to be 95 so I would say he had a great long life 🙂 if you want to you can send me pictures to my email. It’s aconrad888 AT gmail.com. Do you know the name or number that’s inside the guitar? I am one of William Conrad’s granddaughters. Thanks for replying to the post and have a great day!
I also have been looking for info, I have found a recording studio that advertises that it has 2 Conrad model 40226. They must be worth something. Winterspring studios if I remember correctly. The only info I have is from my father as this was his guitar. There was some sort of lawsuit back in the 70’s and they had to stop making them. After they changed their design the guitars just didn’t sound the same and they stopped making them. He went to sell it back in the 80’s and the store owner offered him 2 Taylor’s in trade, worth about 2500 each, he declined to sell it and he passed it down to me 8 years ago. Now there is no info on them except that they were known to be generic guitars. The thing is, before the lawsuit the sound that they made was very unique and very good. It was considered a very big find back in the 80’s, that seems to be forgotten now. I wish I could point to an article or have someone else say yeah that’s right, but I am still doing research.
I have a model 40110 12 string Conrad that I bought in 1967. Icannot find any info, and the last “guitar” whiz that I talked to said he couldn’t find any info either, so I must be mistaken about the model, mfg. Well I’m sitting here looking at it, so I don’t think I made it up.
i bought an 87 (57) reissue acouple months ago and have been playing the crap out of it and the pick ups went microphonic on me so i wanted to replace the pick ups with some vintage pick ups for 57 to probably about 75 e-mail me if you have anything

All I know about the history is I purchased it from Sears in 1982. I would love to know how many were made and if anyone knows if it’s collectable. Seems there isn’t much information out there.
Yea i got one too its a six string electric completely wooden, cant find anything on it either does anyone know if its vintage maybe?
I’ve got a Royce accoustic guitar model 1593 and can’t fing anything about it on-line or in any of my books. Does anyone know anything?
I have one also, cannot find a thing. I looks like a dove.
I have a 1976 Ibanez Byrdland. I’m looking for a pickguard that came with this instrument in 1976, w/ bracket(gold). The bracket is the most important part I need.
Anyone got a spare?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a bridge for a telecaster that can accomodate a whammy bar. have been looking for some time, and have been told I could get one fitted for about £120, but I would like to do it myself.
Am looking at no more than £45.
If anyone has any info could they please email me ASAP, thankyou

I have one that is in near mint condition…but I’d have to think long and hard about selling it. Serial 759-1437-1…and you know what that means…fifty years old! I wonder if there is one in better condition than this one…I doubt it. Roger

I have acquired a red Teisco Del Rey ET-460. Still has the damper and the tremolo bar. Very little wear on the frets, but there is a chip missing from the bottom of the neck. Any idea what something like that is worth?

Well, I have one complete Ranger 12 that I’m playing, and a PERFECT Ranger 12 body that needs a neck and machine heads that I want to assemble as a backup. I’m not too worried about original machine heads…but I’d love to find someone who’d sell me the bolt-on Ranger 12 neck in good shape. Ideas? Thanks, Gordo
This popular thread has been given its own page : Conrad Acoustic Guitars
If there are any good sites for Conrad guitars please let me know
I have a conrad acoustic too. it is flame maple with a spruce top. this is the only site i could find with any info at all.
I have a Conrad 40229 acoustic that I bought new in August 1974. Have had many others since but still love the sound of this blond guitar. Very bright. Anyone know anything about the company or the line of guitars? I remember paying 120 bucks in 74. I will never get rid of it. Many memories.
What is the serial # on yours? Mine is 750219 and I’m trying to date mine. Thanks. Steve.
I have a conrad electric bass

Hey Donna,
I just saw your post about the William E Conrad guitar.
Hello Jessica,
I have had my grandfathers guitar in my possession for many years now.
Thanks,
Matt
Hi I am refurbishing a Conrad 40110 serial no. 472. Badly dinged and scratched. Was spay painted grey then resprayed white, absolute mess, but still sounded really good. Does any one have any info on the year of build?
Thanks. Allan.
I have a 12 string model 40227 cant find info and it has no serial number but he conrad name is branded over the tag in the sound hole???????
I bought a Conrad model #40226 back in the seventies for $50.00. So many times l remember people with more expensive name brand guitars would rather play mine. Can’t believe there’s so little known about them. Main thing is. I’m keeping mine
Everyone on here have way longer model numbers than mine. Mine is A587. Serial number 262.
Thanks
I have a model 40172 also s/n 996. I bought it new from Sears Roebuck in the late 60s.
Got one also
Model No. 40172
Serial No. 957999
Had at least 40 years
Very good to Excellent condition
Looking to sell if price is right
HI i was wondering if any of these guitars you guys have happen to have a gold seal in the sound hole ring and maybe even have the name William E.
Thank you
What do you want to know about it?

Trying to find Value’s and History on this Guitar, any more info on this post will be Greatly appreciated!!!
Would like to hear about yours
Do you out there have any information on this guitar. It was at an auction benefit last night on the silent auction. Mint condition. A conrad 40210
i have a conrad acustic, model no. 40173, serial no. 1173. thats all it says.cant find anything about it!! is it a ghost company or what?
Conrad was sued and subsequently went out of business. It seems their business model was to copy Martin models and reproduce them.
