Hi,I’m just about to list an MD120 on eBay. It has a few knocks about it but it sounds superb. It is a really attractive guitar and I would highly recommend buying one.

      1. how did you do?

Just curious, I have an MD120 I’m considering selling and there’s none to found for sale anywhere. How much were you able to get for it? Did you have any trouble finding a buyer? Thanks!

  11. Total Guitar magazine
    Scott Rowley

There’s a few postings on this message board from people who seem to think that they’re writing to Total Guitar magazine. So,just to let you know, this is not the TG site: it can be found at http://www.totalguitar.co.uk and there’s a chat room there. If anyone wants to debate the mag, suggest features/tab, or just talk about guitars, you’re more than welcome.

    Winter 2000 issues.
I am willing to pay £10 each for those issues with the accompanying cds.

  15. Tokai guitar
    Jan-Roger

    Hi.
I have a Tokai Guitar super brilliant. I bought this guitar in 1983.
The guitar has a metal body with a neck of wood.
    My questions are: h
How many of this guitar has been produced?
Does the guitar have any collectors value?

    Best regards
    Jan-Roger Eriksen

      Ian Storrar

      : Hi.
I think you have a Tabot metal body 2 single coils 1 humbucker.
There have been a lot of these guitars made but not many sold outside Japan new price US$1200
Rare in US but probably not really collectable as still in mass production and under rated by guitarists

  16. song-database
    Jeroen de Haas

Your mag is so good that I’ve been buying it non-stop for more than 4 years now. Sometimes that brings me into problems: Every now and then I want to play a song that I know is transcribed in a previous issue of TG, but the problem is … which issue! So my suggestion is (we do live in a multi-media era) to put a nice Database on the next CD(rom) so I get more time playing than searching the right mag. I’m not a database specialist, but it would be nice to have some queries in it like searching by song, all songs of a certain artist, all metal songs etc. Thanx,

    1. Re: song-database
      Richard Corr

I couldn’t agree more. I have every issue of the magazine but waste so much time searching for songs/articles from back issues. I bet Total Guitar have their own data base. It would be really easy for them to paste it up on their website – a web site which is surprisingly unhelpful…. Guitar Techniques have done this. Its such an obvious thing. Why hasn’t it already been done?

  17. FORGOTTEN CLASSIC 80S BANDS
    STEPHEN MOIR

I recently drove down from Aberdeen to Manchester (and back!) to see THE CHAMELEONS play at one of their recent ‘re?formation gigs. At the gig, a new acoustic album (called ‘Strip’) reworking old classics by the band was available. This has led me to thinking that it is about time that this influential, innovative, yet under-rated band was shown a bit more recognition. How about an article (perhaps even an interview with the band), and possibly some TAB for, say, ‘Swamp Thing’?

  18. NEIL YOUNG
    Paul Claridge

I E-mailed you about a year ago and pleaded for a Neil Young classic such as Powderfinger or Like a Hurricane. A few days later
I recieved a reply saying and I quote "sure coming soon we love Neil". Now almost a year later we still have nothing, so get your act together
before I have to start using violence…

  22. slipknot??????
    luke

whats all this hipe about slipknot. Theyre just a bunch of guys with masks. I think we should send them up in a space shuttle and leave them in space where they belong, but that would just be a waste of money, wouldnt it.

    1. re:slipknot reply agreed
      Skewer

I completely agree, suddenly people believe there must be some skill involved in choaotic music.
Now days anything can be called metal.

I also agree, and what is it with the slipknot fans or ‘maggots’ as they’re known… they seem so angry… chill out guys

  23. Dear tg
I just boudgt a new yamaha pacifica. for about 2 weaks it played like a dream, but now that dream has been shattered. There has of late been a strange twangy sound coming from the A string. I dont know what it is but i fear it could be shabby workmanship. I only bought it because tg gave it a good rating. Please Email back and tell me what might be wrong.
    yours sincerely

I have been purchasing your magazine here in Canada and I love it. It

Just to say that i think your magazine is the worst magazine ever created. Even Bliss is better than the crap that you write. I am utterly disgraced with your standard of magazine and you will be hearing more from me in the future.

I agree, the magasine is shit hot! Every arse bandit who insists on focussing on minute problems which are completely irrelevant in the magasine will surcome to a fate worse than death in the hands of the much feared nymphomanic leprachauns!

I’ll be looking for the Feb2K issue when it comes downunder, but if it ain’t got Roy Buchanan in it, I won’t be buying it.
Roy didn’t make the http://www.guitar.com site’s Top 100 list, and that sucks more than my first wife. Hope you guys are a bit better informed.

Surely it will have Clarence White, the guitarist who bridged the gap between country and rock and without a doubt one of the most exciting players to listen to.
The problem is, he isnt that well known but you can check his playing on the later Byrds albums.

  28. Rock special issues
    Bob Nunn

Are back copies available of the two Rock Specials, the latter featuring ‘Sultans of Swing’ and ‘All Right Now’?
