Looks like a VS 15.Same look as the one i bought last week at Cash convertors,Brisbane,Qld Australia mate.

It looks to me like a Vantage VS-15. I have one and it looks quite similar. The tag on the inside of the guitar should have the model # on the top.

I also own a Vantage VA-12 guitar, and it plays nicely. When I first saw it, it had a damaged neck at the shoe area. I removed the fret board and the complete neck, made the repairs and put it back together again. It's played nicely ever since, and has a good flat neck all up the fret board. I noticed a new VA-12 being sold at a music store near me, and it was being sold around the price of $400 CDN., and that was without any type of preamp/pickup installed on it. I laid out another $200 plus dollars and put a sound preamp/pickup on it, and boy did that bring out the sounds through my amp. Nice guitar, soundly made, but watch out for over tightening the strings, as this will damage the neck at the shore area. This is what caused the damage to the one I now own, and bought cheap for that very reason. Luckily, I know how to repair and maintain my own guitars correctly. Cheers Wayne.

it sounds sensational and holds a tune incredibly well, better than my two fender acoustics or any of my guitars for that matter.

Very exciting to see that the internet provides a wealth of info but I haven't been able to find anything on my guitar. Bought it back in the 80's as my first steel string. It's my "beater" guitar but I love it to death and will never part with it. Trying to find any info I can on it.

I have looked for info on the 825b myself, there is not alot out there! I have had mine (a fretless) since '83 and if I remember right it cost about $250..

Hi, I've come to inherit this guitar, it has a beautiful hummingbird and butterfly "front" whatever it's called...but the bottom has an extra point which makes it look like the "dove" series... then to top it off, it says "univox"....and the label on the inside is gone, it's in really nice shape. I have never been able to find anything on that. Any comments or help:]

I bought my Vantage in the early eighties. I think it is a VP-820, but can find an exact match to mine, ie., mine has all brass fittings (incl. nut & bridge). It also has an active circuit.I now wish to sell it, as it is no longer played. Any info on it or offers would be much appreciated. Many thanks, David.
