Hey there I own 4 Vantages VW 150 Acoustic HVS455 ( Gibson ES 335 copy but nicer ! ) circa 1982 's Av 330 AV325 and X 33 Strat all MIJ by Matsunoku
The VW150 only has 4 number serial signifying 76 & 77 06 or 07 after that they went to 7 & numbers and then a prefix letter Mine 0654was the 54 built in 1976 Spruce laminate top rosewood fret board looks like an ebony bridge and sealed chrome tuners mahogoney back and sides had it right next to a 56 martin D 28 yesterday but where no strings on the martin It had rosewood back and sides and solid spruce top probably was also 7500 -10,000 The vantage seem to be popular in Canada & France as well If you go to You tube Divrack is my handle you can hear most of the guitars especially the HVS 455 and I just did one on the VW 150 I was going to sell it and then i put a new set of Martin lights on it after lathering her up with some guitar hone for a few days WOW Nice tone doesn't resonate as loud like my Yamaha FGX 735sca but its half the size as well i have tons of pcis on photo bucket as well or email me My Av 330 is just gorgeous I took it to a guitar show and got mobbed Bright red flamed maple neck How do you post pics here ?

I just bought one of these VS-16 and also from cash converters, Made in Korea
looks well made, by now all the timber is aged , replaced the strings
altho a new bridge and nut could be replaced, but plays well
sounds good, curved sound box a good second guitar..

Anyone regognize what model vantage this is?

It looks to me like a Vantage VS-15. I have one and it looks quite similar. The tag on the inside of the guitar should have the model # on the top.

I also own a Vantage VA-12 guitar, and it plays nicely. When I first saw it, it had a damaged neck at the shoe area. I removed the fret board and the complete neck, made the repairs and put it back together again. It's played nicely ever since, and has a good flat neck all up the fret board. I noticed a new VA-12 being sold at a music store near me, and it was being sold around the price of $400 CDN., and that was without any type of preamp/pickup installed on it. I laid out another $200 plus dollars and put a sound preamp/pickup on it, and boy did that bring out the sounds through my amp. Nice guitar, soundly made, but watch out for over tightening the strings, as this will damage the neck at the shore area. This is what caused the damage to the one I now own, and bought cheap for that very reason. Luckily, I know how to repair and maintain my own guitars correctly. Cheers Wayne.

i have a Vantage acoustic guitar with a serial number VA 10 B, my father bought the guitar some thirty years ago, i cant find any information on it anywhere and was wondering if it is worth anything?
it sounds sensational and holds a tune incredibly well, better than my two fender acoustics or any of my guitars for that matter.

Very exciting to see that the internet provides a wealth of info but I haven't been able to find anything on my guitar. Bought it back in the 80's as my first steel string. It's my "beater" guitar but I love it to death and will never part with it. Trying to find any info I can on it.

I have looked for info on the 825b myself, there is not alot out there! I have had mine (a fretless) since '83 and if I remember right it cost about $250..

Hi, I've come to inherit this guitar, it has a beautiful hummingbird and butterfly "front" whatever it's called...but the bottom has an extra point which makes it look like the "dove" series... then to top it off, it says "univox"....and the label on the inside is gone, it's in really nice shape. I have never been able to find anything on that. Any comments or help:]

I bought my Vantage in the early eighties. I think it is a VP-820, but can find an exact match to mine, ie., mine has all brass fittings (incl. nut & bridge). It also has an active circuit.I now wish to sell it, as it is no longer played. Any info on it or offers would be much appreciated. Many thanks, David.
