Re: TANARA GUITARS
I just bought a Strat-style TG Tanara in a thrift store. Body is black with a light brown sunburst behind the white pick guard. The pick guard is a laminate of three sheets of plastic, two whites with a black in the middle (which leaves a black stripe around the edge of the pick guard). A sticker at the base of the neck identifies it as "MODEL TS-30/BS". A white sticker at the back of the neck head measuring 1/2 x 1 inch has the number 27674 on it. Like the rest of the electrics mentioned here, it has three pickups, 1 volume control and two tone controls. It came in a brand new-looking gig bag that has "TKL" inside a Cadillac-type wreath crest and "TKL" on each zipper pull. Tag inside the bag has same "TKL" creast and reads MADE IN CHINA. I have NO idea if this bag is original to this guitar, but the bag itself is in the same apparently seldom-used condition the guitar is in. Sweet!! I would love to network with other owners and enthusiasts who know more about this guitar than I do.

TG Tanara
I've had a TG Tanara guitar for 13 yrs now. Still sounds amazing. I bought it from a guy for about $200 along with an amp. I wish I knew how much it's really worth, though.
Re: TANARA GUITARS
Ok. This is getting even MORE interesting, now: I just bought another, seemingly identical guitar .... except this one is white and has the brand name AUSTIN on it. EXACT same body, bridge, tone/volume controls, selector switch, pick guard, & pickups. The only difference is in the headstock treatment and machine heads.
