Value for Goya 161 - with break between head and neck

Posted by Lynn Hamerling on Sun, 09/23/07 - 15:08:09.

I have a vintage goya - 161. It has a fracture in the back of the neck. My husband - a guitarist and collector- says it may last forever or it make break when played. Does this Goya have any value in its present condition?

Re: Value for Goya 161 - with break between head and neck

There was actually a Goya 161 sold recently on Ebay for the amazingly low price 89$.
Based on sales I have seen of the predecessor Goya N-21, a normal price would be from 150 up to perhaps 300$ in resonably good shape.
Your cracked neck obviousely reduces the price, but I would expect a good bit above 100$.
The 161 was available from 1969 to 1972.
