      I bought one of these in my youth (over 40 years ago in the late 1960s). Mine says Guitarras De Calidid Dallas 9105 London. I remember it cost me £25 then (a lot of money in those days!). I still own it and am looking to sell it but have no idea what to ask. Interesting that it may have been built in Japan – always assumed it was Spanish. Hmm. 🙂

      I got a torre guitar from a friend a few days ago and i found out(from a guitar builder) that my torre guitar is build in japan in the 60-70´s.The label inside reads :torre supremo,guitarras de calidad(supreme quality),dallas 4440 london.4440 is the model number.Dallas is:john e dallas who worked for arbiter company.They only built 85 4440 guitars.And it shold be worth somewhere around 1500-2000 swedish krona (kr)in good/ok condition.Thats all folks,,,,and,,sorry for my crappy english./Joj

        I bought a Torres guitar last year in a charity shop for £10.00. It needed a bit of work to get it working. It has an excellent tone and I am very impressed with it. The label is signed T.Dobson. The guitar label is Torre Guitarras de Calidad which does not sound Japanese. Can anyone tell me when the guitar was made and where.

          hey. ive been trying to find out who sells torre guitar pegs, because i also have one. but instead of 4440 mine has 4441 in it. please let me know if you get ANY more info on this subject. 🙂 taaaaaaaaaaah.

          This can not be the same maker as the Torre/Granada make. I was given a Torre Granada over 40 years ago for my birthday. Alan Garcia-Torre looks to be no more than 50 years old, so he would be a remarkable maker if he was only 10 when he made mines! It’s a good guitar, but it’s not worth 23,000 pounds! Maybe 250.

          we just found one of these guitars under a hedge, yes a hedge, were thinking angry wife or girlfriend. but with my reaserch ive found out it is worth around 23 thousand pounds.

      i have a guitar, labelled inside and on the top as a Torre, cannot find anything on this make of guitar listed wonder if you can help.
      Wording inside is printed in Spanish but translates to: Supreme Tower Quality Guitars. any help appreciated. Thank you

        Bought a Torre spagnola guitar no 4415,
        2 years ago,with its original fitted case,Ive put a pickup under the bridge along with tone and volume control,its fitted with 6 nylon strings although three,ead are wire bound.now have I destroyed a decent guitar or can I gig with it?.

        I HAVE A TORRE CHICA SMALL HALF SIZE? GUITAR I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT AT ALL, NUMBER IN SIDE IS; A510N. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DATE IT AND WHERE IT WAS MADE; IT HAS A STICKER ON THE STOCK THAT SAYS THE NECK IS SUPPORTED WITH A STEEL ROD INSERT THROUGH THE NECK ,I AM MISSING A PEG CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!!!!!!.         I have just bought this guitar and am interested in finding out more about it. It appears to have a solid spruce top with a rosewood fret board and mahogany back and sides . The action seems a bit on the high side but with new strings it has a beautful rich tone with a lovely bass Grateful for any info Thanks Sean

    Hi, I’m a drummer/small studio owner looking for a "Beatle" sounding guitar. I can’t afford a Rickenbacker so I’m looking for a Ric copy. I understand Tokai sells copies of Beatle style Rics. They are difficult to locate. Do you have an opinion of these or other brand Ric copies and where they can be bought? Thanks, Don
