Please assist. I want to buy a present for someone who plays electric guitar by ear. I want the notes to come out on the screen. He has a midi guitar, synthesizer and keyboard. Please assist. My husband plays electric guitar by ear. real time multiple note notation as you play you need to have a midi guitar. I know that he can go from an electric or acoustic guitar but then it's only going to be one note at a time. For multiple note notation to occur, he'll need a midi guitar.
So,
I'm buying the Sibelius 7 Guitar Notation software, he has a synthesizer and keyboard. What else do I need to purchase to complete this? Thanks so much!!! please respond to Irenelg3@aol.com

You ain't gonna find out how to play for free. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

HOWEVER, you do not need to learn the notes, etc. Those things are useless. No songs are written like that. Just take one lesson, and learn the basics. Guitar lessons are essentially useless anyway, because they don't teach you the pure essentials (Slide, hammer on/pull of, bend etc.)

Ok, dude you just need to learn a song called "smoke on water" Just 1 string and easy to play Download it and then try to play it =)

Trust me online tabs are much easier to read than notes. It's quite simple to understand really, most tabs show 6 lines, which represent strings, from top to bottom, or, better put, thinnest to thickest. Numbers on the lines represent what fret to play.

For easy songs, try Come As You Are by Nirvana, and Smoke On The Water by Earth wind and fire.

try to buy a theory book, thats what i did, then later after u can play a lil maybe consder to take a course

Hey, i was recently looking round our house when i found a black eletric guitar complete with amp!! It was obviously old, as there were a few chips in the side but never the less i started making up my own music.
My tip for you is to just get a simple easy guitar from ur local music shop and play
