HOWEVER, you do not need to learn the notes, etc. Those things are useless. No songs are written like that. Just take one lesson, and learn the basics. Guitar lessons are essentially useless anyway, because they don't teach you the pure essentials (Slide, hammer on/pull of, bend etc.)
