    I bought this amazing guitar in a music shop in Edinburgh when I got it home I found It had Kahler tremolo arm Kahler locking nut Kluson tuners seymore duncan pick ups I don`t know if they come as standard the sound that comes out of this guitar is amazing the only thing I had to do was replace the toggle switch which was faullty I have had this guitar for 15 years it never goes out of tune It has a beautiful finish It was only a hundred pounds I often wonder why anybody would want to sell it

      I found a Marina mark-32 G @ the attic of a friend & got it for 150 €, Case incl. =)
      I really love this guitar and the sound is amazing and wornderful. I `ll never sell her in my life.

    the mark 33 i bought back in 1985 is still the number 1 acoustic in my arsanel of ax’s. great action great tone stays in tune like its nobodys buissnes. I’ve took this gutiar all over E.U. and MEDD> 10out of 10 this is a gibson killer right down too its grover tuners!

      I think it is solid top but not sure about solid wood. I got one from my dad over 10 years. It sounds great and I like it very much.

      :I have a Marina FL 2(Feeling Series)but it seems that mine is made in Japan, at least so is written on the back plate.I’ve seen some other models on the internet to(Concorde and others)

      I don’t have a 41A but I have a 36G 6 string and I also would like to know what it is worth. I bought it from a pawn shop for $60, but it sounds to good to be worth that much.  Sory I can’t help you with what yours is worth.

      I have just bought a Marina Mark 41A 12 string guitar. It has a great sound and looks beautiful. Can anyone tell me how much it may be worth cause now everybody wants to buy it from me and tell me how great this guitar is?

        I just found a Marina 36g guitar in a shed, was looking for a guitar to play, this one got my attention, it was in excellent condition, even with strings as old as the guitar I’d guess, it had a great sound, I took a gamble and purchased it, a polish, new strings, and it played like my beloved Martin, sadly gone, it surprised me, does anyone know anything about this guitar? made in China I believe, but, when? it appears to be quite old, quality machine heads, nice action, Martin style scratch plate, great sound, very accurate neck, seems too good for a Chinese guitar, what is it’s history,and approximate value, anyone know?

        I have owned two of these a white mark32 ugly pearl white but sounded fantastic, really meloncholic , mahagony and spruce unfortunatlely I belt sanded it after drinking a litre of smirmof 50 % vol not proof, this is where most great ideas happen.But I do actually customise and restore for others so not completety mental, After hunting for another ten years I got a mark 35 rosewood and spruce , all bound and natural. good tone but brighter and in my opinion not as nice.action was a little shonkey at first but sorted that, and a great acoustic . Sometimes you just get a good one despite price. And just for reference I have tried lots to replace and my main guitar is a parker fly deluxe, I also have many other expensive guitars so not out of lack of funds , just give one a try if you see you may be suprised

          Hi, I have a MARINA mark 35 acoustic it was a bit tatty when i got it from my local music shop he was selling it for a guy I gave him
          £80 it plays brill stays in tune, the name is in cap letters on the headstock from top to base, there is a seriel number on the end of the inside of the neck the colour is a natural finish, there is quite an elaborate binding round the body and neck, I would like to find out more can you help cheers, Dale G

        I have had one since the 80’s. It’s a cheap Chinese model that really doesn’t sound much better with age – so it will never be worth much. If you switch out the crummy standard plastic bridge to a bone bridge, the sound will improve. This guitar is worth much more that it will fetch, so might as well hang on to it 🙂

        Once upon a hell of a long time ago, before the age of careers, ambition, love (kinda), and making money – I was playing, going to college and being friends with a man named Miguel Rios. (Miguel, if you catch this I hope you don’t remember me – time’s changed us all. Miguel was a numero uno student of Andre Segovia (the Segovia – Spain – all that) and he was starting up his guitar restoration business and I had him do up several very vintage CF Martin’s for me. You would be shocked what they are worth today – ton’s. I was saving one for Miguel and I to do over many years and your article got me into the old attic, there it is my Marina Mark 32RW. I bought it in the 80’s for around $300 dollars and it sat there until just awhile ago. I got it out and restored it myself. What a great axe!! It’s all done up in red stained majogany (I think anyway, yeah it is.) with ivory piping round the top, bottom, neck sides and with it’s simple little pickguard like old martin style and the mother of pearl flowering up it’s rosewood neck it’s sure pretty. I think these are grover’s 24K gold tuners and they act like after all these years too. I only had to put in a couple of weeks restoring it to new condtion and I’d be hard pressed to take anything less that 500 dllrs for it. If you don’t have to, don’t sell it now at all. A few more years and it’ll be work a whole lot more. Thanks for the memories.

      I have a Marina FL 2 Feeling Series and on the back plate is written Made in Japan .I think that the Marina acoustic guitars are made in Korea or Taiwan, and have nothing to do with the company who is making the electrical ones, I think it’s just a coicidence of brand name.Even the logo on the headstock is diferent.

            JHi ray, I know this is a very old post but are you still interested in marina guitars? I have a black with yellow design stripes E- 602 I’ll send a few pics of (still finishing the setup) nest week, I’d probably ask about $300 for it after I finish all the work or $240 if I stop where I am, I’m a pro and refurbish old guitars so it’s top quality work you can’t tell from original setup (or as close as I can get) found it at a garage sale and was able to get rust and debris out, if your’e ingterested let me know 323-705-9551

        I have a concord version also.I bought it new in 1990 for £210.It has a red cracked paint effect start style body with which has often beenremarked on how cool it looks.I love this guitar, but do not know much about it and it has served me well,Does anybody know anything about them?????…like how much my guitar might be worth now 🙂

          I have just bought a Marina Concord version with a broken headstock off ebay for £60. Its in a metallic blue. I glued the headstock back on and resprayed and its as good as new. Great guitar, but I also know nothing about it and would also like some info please.

            I have also tried to find some information on these guitars as well but I havent found any. I found a pink one in a dumpster with the head broken off. It had EMGs and little damage to the rest of body so I took it from the dumpster. The guitar was seriously screwed up as far as the wiring was concerned(someone probaly tried to re-wire it themselves and **** ed up.) Once I re-wired it and replaced the neck I had a custom paint job laid on it. Now It is my personnel favorite in my collection and it sounds Like a dream.

        i bought it 9 years ago in germany colonge… the price was about 500 german marks… today 250 dollars… it is a great guitar… but only use thick strings…

            I own a MARINA MARK 34 it has very bright sound and I love it I got at auction so Im not sure what the worht is but the manufactur is Chuan yni mucsical instrument co.ltd I would like to hear from anyone who knows what it is worth.

        I own 2 Marina 31 guitars both are from the above maker, I brought one of the guitars in a Cash Converters in Parramatta Sydney Australia, paid $105.50 Aussy dollars for it that was 15 yrs ago, came with a hard case a shoulder strap and a spare set of strings couple of picks.
        But they are different one of them has 3 rings around the hole on the body of the guitar the other only has 2.
        I have seven guitars the Marina’s are my favourite, excellent sound and action quality.
        Would any one know the value of them or even the Year of manufacture, they are not for sale I’ll never sell these guitars.

        Hey friends.. currently I own a Marina Mark 31 guitar. This was my first guitar handed down by my uncle. He bought this guitar in 1985. Still now this guitar sounded awesome. Recently I when to a shop to re it re-strung, the guitar tech there was amazed by how the guitar sounded. He asked me were did I get the guitar? I answered that I didnt. I was so shocked as normally I would just put the new strings myself at home. Anyone else has this guitar. How does yours sound. I am very eager to know. And how old is this guitar model really is. Is it really a treasured brand as the manufacturer cease to exists.

          I’m also a proud owner of a mark-31 :). Actually the reason I have it is the amazing sound, and I had known it before I bought it: it was owned by one of my friends and I could tell it had a great sound – actually I realized it more and more during the years, hearing and playing other guitars. So after all I bought it from him very, very happily. I also made some googling back then and found that indeed the Marina factory had been long closed (~15 years). The owner was some perfectionist music-fanatic, thus the great quality. I also found that each Marina-owner is equally satisfied with their instrument.

          But then the story went on, a friend I was playing with loved its sound so much that he kept looking and found one for sale: a mark-32, also great sound. Since then we’ve been looking for Marinas for sale. I was lucky to buy a 12-string one and he found one with some other Mark.

          Today I was doing the usual look-for-Marina activity, and I found that they’re manufactured again! What’s more, the reviews are similar that you could read of the old Marinas… however they’re sold only in the UK. So for sure I’ll get a new one, only don’t know how yet 🙂

          Yes you must get it! It is very fantastic and it never ran out of tune! My guitar Marina Mark 16 I used it for 10+ years it never ran out of tune and it got a beautiful voice and you will never regret it

        I have recently acquired a ‘Marina Mk 12′ guitar which I believe to be a classical guitar. It appears to be well put together with a fantastic tone. This guitar was built in Taiwan by Chuan Yin’. I have no knowledge of the manufacturer or year of manufacture or value…So if anyone could enlighten me with any information, i.e. history of this model, etc…Would be appreciated…cheers…

      I’ve got a yamaha pacifica, its an amazing buy at 200.00 or less, the colour is a natural pine, the shape is similar to that of a stratocaster, and the pickups are 2 singles and 1 double. I love it, check them out
