    Hey Bud,

I owned an Old Craftsman electric back in 1962.

I was 12 years old then.

Seems the pick-ups stop working so I took the guitar apart to see what was the matter.

Wound up throwing it in the trash!

It was really hard to play.

Like to have ripped my fingers to shreds ever time I played it.

But back then I was to young to know about having a guitar set up!

Ya know like lowering the strings, ect.

    Wish I had it now.

It was my first guitar to ever own!

    Oh well!

I have an original “Ventures Mosrite of California” guitar that I have owned for 40 or 41 years.

    Piece & Pick-On!

    God Bless!

    Bob!

  4. value of guitar

I have in my possession a 1954 Gene Autry autographed acoustic 6 string cowboy guitar in near mint condition. All of the parts are original except for the bridge. How can I find out its value?

    1. I Think you mean Flamenco
      Satchmo E

It is a type of classical guitar. I think of them as not as nice as a classical, but I have small hands and stubby fingers. Anyway it is an acoustic with a wide fingerboard that has (usually) no radius and is flat or sometimes slightly concave. They have a bit wider string spacing for the finger style picking, but so does a classical guitar. The main thing that sets these apart from say a folk acoustic is they use nylon strings and have a slotted headstock. They also have a bridge that lacks those bridge pins and has a “tie block” behind the saddle. You tie a loop in the strings and do the noose thing running the string through the loop after you have fed it through a horizontal hole in the tie block. The string goes over the saddle across the nut and winds onto a tuning machine post that lays inside the slot(s) of the headstock. Flamenco style is what Charo, or the Romero brothers play. Classical is what John Williams or Segovia played, and they played both styles. They are usually voiced a bit differently and in my opinion a flamenco and classical guitar are almost the same thing. Almost, but not quite. Most of that depends on who plays the guitar. Mainly Flamenco is a Spanish style that is finger style with lots of flashy arpegios and runs. Classical is more precise and incorporates flamenco as well as classical music. See Hauser Guitars. Segovia played one and thought it to be the apex of classical guitar. Also names like Fleta, Bouchet, Ramirez, Hernandez, etc. Even Ibanez started as a classical guitar maker in Spain in the 1910s-20s. His main export marker was Japan. When the Spanish Civil War started his shop was bombed so he moved to Japan. Eric Clapton owns a 1920s Spanish Ibanez. I have one too, but it is not anything super great, just old. The name is pronounced eee bahn yez by the way. The bracing and small details mainly are what define the differences. Also the body size in some cases.

I have a surprisingly functional Old Kraftsman guitar, 3 bolts on neck, 2 pickups and shaped like a Fender Telecaster. On the plastic above the bridge is a code 9S811. I have searched high and low for info on this excellent sounding, slightly intonation off at the 12th fret guitar. 19 frets, 4 knobs, 1 tone and 3 volume controls w/ 3 position switch….does anyone know anything about this model? Date? anything? LOL
    Thanks

        Parts needed include:-
For the Holborn .. original toggle selector & a set of six one side tuners..
For the Apache .. all electrics, knobs & bridge (I do have the trem unit, but no spring)..

only the part that goes in the hole on the bridge.

      MalicePro 1997

read many post’s on this and i think no one has done there home work or havent a clue about guitars .but i have and do so here is the real info on the E-ros guitar’s that are worth alot of cash $$$$.$$ i have one and there is only 17 of them around i have had mine apraised and trust me i sh*t a brick because i still had to walk home with mine . Happy days .
here is the info you need
      ——————————————————————

The first E-Ros guitars were made between 1966 and 1970 by the Fratelli Fuselli Company (Fuselli Brothers) in Recanati, Italy. Most of their instruments were flat top dreadnought acoustics. The range included the 6 string 606 Dakota and 606 Arizona, the 12 string 612 model also known as the 612 Nevada. Some came with a pickup, these models were designated 606-E and 612-E.

According to fetishguitars.com, the similarity between E-Ros guitars and Eko Rangers suggests that the Fuselli Brothers were making guitars for Eko during the mid 1960s. When the Eko factory was ruined by fire, the Fuselli Brothers started selling their guitars themselves, under the E-Ros brand.

Link: Information on the E-Ros brand on fetishguitars.com

Most E-Ros guitars were distributed in Europe, but some E-Ros guitars turned up in the USA in the 1970s bearing the Eko logo. It is likely that Eko bought up some of the E-Ros unsold inventory.

The E-ros brand name reappeared in the 1970s, on a range of Japanese made guitars. For example in the UK musical instrument distributer Rosetti’s 1977 catalog there are a number of EROS models. This Japanese Eros range included acoustic guitars, electric models based on the Gibson range and a Fender Precision style bass guitar.

if you plan to have it apraised take it to a reputable dealer

      hope this helps you out

I am looking for around 800 for my ibanez musician guitar but i am negotiable with the price. The link below is the same guitar as mine but the control knobs are a bit different that’s it plus mine has been serviced and had the action lowered down a lot allowing for fast playing 🙂

  12. 1964 Rickenbacker 310
    Len

I am selling my 1964 Rickenbacker 310 – This is a 3/4 size guitar and essentially looks exactly like the Ric 325 that John Lennon played. The guitar was modified to a 320 with the addition of the middle pick up. The guitar also has the "F" sound hole. Very nice condition with some repair work. Pots and construction style date the guitar to 1964 – original TRC, tuners were replaced but I have the original single line Kluson tuners. Nice neck and great action. If interested drop me a line.

I have one Id like to sell. It is missing one peg but the key in the back is there. I have new set of nylon strings for it. There are no cracks in the body or neck. There are some surface scratches and small chips but a bit of wood polish would do a lot. If your interested I am in California, but up north near Sacramento. Perhaps some shipping arrangement can be made. Email me and I will provide you with photos.

the arwin company went out of business in 1965 they went bankrupt and thats about all I have found my arwin was made in beverly hills, USA and its a regular size. You can read about the company if you look it up through the USA beverly hills location.

Funny, nobody has found any info about this thing in 6 years? I just found one (REALLY dinged up and dirty, missing 3 strings) in a thrift store for 2 bucks. I grabbed it to clean it up and give it to the kiddos to play with (i have some extra strings laying around)

So far I’ve cleaned it up some, glued the bridge, and polished the chrome string holder. I got it with a bit of rust, but some elbow grease with a wire brush and some polish made it pretty again.

Not much to be done for the dings and scratches, at least not with my limited knowledge. I’d have not guessed it was as old as the 60’s.

Anyways, if any info does come up, I’d be very appreciative of it! Thanks!

Hi everyone. There is an Arwin Parlor guitar on my local Craigslist that I want to get but also can’t find any info on this brand. It is only $50, so I think I really can’t go wrong if it is halfway decent. Feel free to contact me with any info on these guitars. Thanks!

Hey I just saw the original pricing in the shergold website, depending on the year it’s either 170 or 160. Here is the link anyway so you can check yourself: http://www.shergold.co.uk/origcost.html If you do decide to sell it please let me know since I would be interested in it. : I have a very early Shergold Masquerader in sunburst that I am considering selling on ebay. It is in very good condition for its age (superficial small body damage, looks like someone has worn a studded wrist band or something while playing it)and even has the original black plastic bridge cover. Everything is original and plays great. Does anyone have any idea the value of such an original early model of this guitar? Serial number 7063.

a good seventies masquerader in worth about £300 to £350
must be original with no bits missing, lots of old shergolds
have thin laquer and are prone to cracking which shoulod not be polished out as this is part of their charm.

I play a shergold bass, and you should know that most shergolds have a problem where the laquer cracks/peels off. It is extremely rare to find one that doesnt have this, so even if it has damage from the wristband, its probably worth quite a lot

      ALEX LANGE

The British made Shergold guitars and basses were made in the early 80s and had a good reputation as being ahead of their time, as the interchangable pick ups system shows. Famous users of Shergolds include Marty Wilson-Piper of the Church who used a black 12 string electric guitar and Peter Hook of Joy Division/New Order who used their 6 string bass. Value up to $1000AU depending on condition.

: I have a Fenton Weill Triplemaster which I believe dates from ’59/’61.I’d like to find out more from the serial number(1223).
: In ’59, Jim Burns(Burns Guitars) hooked up with Henry Weill(Selmer,Vox and disco lighting!)In ’61 they split, I think unhappily.Weill continued to use the name and Burns designs;that’s about as much as I know.
: I’d like to find out what the story was and is my Triplemaster part of the tale.

I had a Montgomery Ward archtop acoustic guitar in 1958 that was made by Kay and was identical to the Kay K-11 guitar except for a "lyre" emblem on the pickguard. They’re recognizable by the rectangular mother-of-pearl insets between the frets, "f" holes and a relatively large pickguard that was usually white in color. I’d like to find another one these forty-seven years later. As a second choice, I would be willing to consider a K-11. Can anyone help me? I have pictures from the 1958-59 Wards catalog and one of me as a young rockabilly cat with the guitar, if they would help.
